Why would I have to make a bookmark to get a heart wouldn't a whole set of cards w/envies instead qualify? I thought we couldn't dictate what deserves a heart? I don't make good bookmarks.

It is in the swap rules that a host cannot dictate what a person should do for hearts. Whether or not someone gets a heart is completely up to the person receiving the swap. You can't make requirements like that. =]

I'm not sure Linda really is 'dictating' that you have to make a bookmark to get a heart, I think she was probably using that as a example of what might warrant a heart. A heart is given when the sender goes above and beyond what the basic swap is about.
