For this swap, you'll be making a 15 track CD that is all about you. The songs must follow this format:

  1. A song from your childhood
  2. A song with your favorite color in the title
  3. A song your parents love
  4. A song that makes you laugh
  5. A song that inspires you
  6. A song that makes you cry
  7. The theme song from your favorite TV show
  8. A song you listen to when you're angry
  9. A song that reminds you about your best friend
  10. A song about your first love
  11. A song you're embarrassed about liking
  12. A song you love to dance to
  13. A song that reminds you of your favorite book
  14. A song from the soundtrack of your favorite movie
  15. Your current favorite song

You can add additional songs for hearts, such as a song with your name in it, a song that you love singing loudly, or maybe even a song you hate.

Be sure to include the track list, and what each song represents. You can elaborate as much as you want. If you have reasons a song works, or an interesting story about why, share with your partner. Be sure to send a CD you took your time with; one you're proud of.

Newbies are welcome, as long as they have at least 1 swap done. Since I'm allowing 3 weeks to make and send this CD, there shouldn't be any need to bailing on your partner. If something comes up, let me and your partner know, and we can work something out.

I'm assuming everyone will be ok with an audio track CD, but if you'd prefer an MP3 cd, leave a comment or message your partner.

I'd like a CD that I can play in my car CD player...not sure which kind of format that would be? (My music program just automatically burns them that way.)

that would be audio format. Usually MP3 CDs only play on the computer :)

I really like this idea for a compilation and would love to join this swap. The problem for me is, if I was to be totally honest with my choice of songs, I would have at least 6 tracks by the same artist..and I am guessing that wouldn't be acceptable?

Usually mix CDs only allow a maximum of 2 or 3 songs by the same artistn and I think the same's gonna apply here. The great thing about this swap is that it really allows you to be totally creative with your choice of songs, and you have the opportunity to mix and match songs by different artists.

This is so awesome! I'm really pumped to put together a good mix, however you said this has to be at least your second swap?? Well this is my first, but could an exception be made? I'm already quite dedicated :)

Another question - this is an international swap and some of my songs are in Swedish. Would that be ok or would you like me to find songs only in English?

amara - if I am your partner I would love to hear Croatian as well.... I just asked the same question - but about my Swedish. If you are supposed to go to your childhood for example, I didn't even understood English....

Songs in other languages can be included- of course! If a song is special to you and is relevant to a category in the swap- use it! I'd love to hear songs in different languages as long as they were important to you. :)

Yes of course they have to be important to be used - that's the purpose of the swap :) But I didn't know if people would like to hear songs they don't know a word what they are saying...
