An Exquisite Corpse
The Requirements:
Each partner will create ONE (1) page for Four (4) partners. To make it easier, if you choose, you may make the same four pages for all of your partners.
The page will measure 4" x 6" (10.16 cm x 15.24 cm). You will divide the page up and down into three equal sections 2" each (5.08 cm). You will need to leave on the left hand side 1/2" (1.27 cm) for the binding of the book. The left hand side will still have decorative paper on it just none of your "image" on it. The measurement template can be viewed here.
The image will need to be divided so that the head is in the upper top portion; body in the middle; and legs in lower section (the neck/shoulders will extend just a bit into the middle secion and the body will extend just a bit into the bottom section). The image will need to be as close as possible to the template shown here in order for everyone's pictures to "line up".
Your "pages" will need to be on some type of lightweight cardboard to withstand the "turning" of the pages.
However, you will still have decorative paper over the cardboard.
Your sentences will need to be in the following format: Article/Adjective Noun for top piece; Verb for middle piece; Article/Adjective Noun for bottom piece. I know it sounds complicated but it really isn't!! Here is an example. Also, if you read the article, the pictures also show examples of how the sentences should work. Edited: I've also added a few more pages onto my Flickr (link in comments section below) to help out!
Once your artwork page is completed, you will cut your page into three pieces (as shown on the lines in the template). Each piece should measure 2" x 4" (5.08 cm x 10.16 cm) after cutting.
The "back" of your pages will need to have decorative paper AND your name (yes, your SB name is fine if that is all you wish to put!). Your name will need to be on ALL three pieces of each page.
The 1/2" (1.27 cm) on the side you will leave for your partner to add holes, etc. whichever way THEY decide to bind the pages.
Your images can be hand drawn, computer generated OR collaged, it is up to you!
I've created a Thread in the group for any questions! Thread help for Swap questions. So, if you have ANY questions, please feel free to post them there!!
The Swap in a Nutshell
Think of your pages as similar to a Skinny (only a little bit bigger) that will be cut into three equal pieces and have words that make a sentence on each piece!!
