P&N: pincushion - voodoo doll

Wow. Is it nearly Halloween again? Already?? Okay, let's make "voodoo doll" pincushions!

Each person will make 1 (doll- or dottee- shaped) pincushion for 1 partner. Please consider your partner's profile as you create your little sewing-room helper for them! Finished doll should be about 4 or 5 inches tall.

This is not a magical swap! No charging up your dolly with anyone's personal energy!! ;)

Still uneasy about the idea of "voodoo"? Well, as you stitch up your doll during creation and as you stick your pins into your cherished buddy, fear not! You won't accidentally harm an unintended target:

If you don't put negative energy and willpower into an action, you won't cause anyone any harm. :) Sorta like a bank balance- what you put in is what you get out (less banking fees, of course...). Or, like punching someone in the face-- you kinda have to aim really well and punch really hard to do any damage.

Besides that, real voodoo dolls are really far better used for harnessing good thoughts and energy! Success, love, generosity, wisdom... sewing karma (may your pattern fit properly on your first attempt, may all your seams be smooth, may you never run out of the right color thread the day before your project is due!)...

So focus on happy thoughts as you create a fabulous little doll-shaped pincushion for your partner!
