This swap is for anyone who wants to try a relatively easy doll swap to get your feet wet in the group. I am including clickable links with the body of this swap HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE All these links lead directly to paper doll sites that you can print and use for free. Here are the guidelines: Use one of these links to print a paper doll you like. It can be male or female, child or adult. If it prints in color, fine, if it prints in black and white, you have to color it. Cut out the doll, then glue it firmly to a thin cardboard like cereal box cardboard or heavy cardstock or tagboard, then when it is dry, cut it out again. It does not have to have a stand, but you can design and make one if you wish. Either print out the clothes that go with your doll and EMBELLISH (add decorative details using paint, glitter, trims, etc) or create your own clothes to fit the doll. Make sure the clothing has some way of being able to be attached to the doll like tabs or velcro or magnets (I usually use ultra thin magnets). The clothes do not have to be printed or mounted on cardstock, although I generally make mine on paper heavier than printer paper, but that would be fine, too. The last thing I do is sign my dolls on the back with my name and the name of the swap. This should be a fairly easy beginner doll swap that will allow you to create a fun doll and learn a little about mounting and embellishing the dolls. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to send me a message. The main thing is to HAVE FUN! |
