Most of the "big box" department stores have gift card displays where you can pick up free cards... They don't charge unless the cards are loaded.

I wouldn't send a "credit" card. Any personalized card with your name, signature, or credit card number may be used for unsavory practices. You best bet is to stick with generic cards and cut up the old credit cards on your own.

I have a small box full of cut up credit cards, gift cards, % off cards. This will be an easy swap for me.
