Description: | |
Spend an hour or so browsing your public library. What catches your attention? What makes you pause? It may be people watching. There may be a poster that intrigues you. The titles of new books. In a library, the list is literally endless. This isn't about in-depth research or checking out books or attending a program. It's simply an hour (or more) of walking around discovering things. Take a notebook with you. Jot down the things you discover. And before you leave, pick up at least two free handouts. Libraries have all sorts of free resources available (bookmarks, fliers, brochures, maps, stickers, magazines, etc.) That's what you'll be looking for to send to your partner. Aim to have one of them have the name of your library on it -- not a requirement, but nice. Send your partner a list or letter about what you discovered in the library during your venture AND the two freebie items. The fine print: International. Snail mail. Group membership. |
