Description:

I though it would be fun to learn a little bit about what's going down in other communities around the world by swapping news stories. In this swap you will have two partners. You will send each partner a newspaper cutting from your local paper and a note telling them why you chose this story. So this involves you tracking down TWO stories, one for each partner (although they can be the same if you happen to have two copies of the same paper!)

The news story can be anything you like, funny, heartwarming, controversial but please not too tragic (people do horrid things to each other where I live too ): ). Ideally this should be cut from a paper, not printed from the internet, and should concern a local issue, one that wouldn't be reported outside your community.

Let your partner know how you feel about the story, what local feeling is, how it will be resolved etc. Please try to write more than a few lines.

If you're in the story that would be awesome!

As this is SENDER'S choice you can find stories before partners are assigned.

I'm making this international as it will be very light to send out.

Swap requirements: newbies with filled out profile OR at least a 4.5 rating. But, if I think you look dodgy I'll remove you.

I'm still quite new to Swap Bot and although I haven't seen this swap before, if you know it's been done please let me know so I can give necessary credit.
