I have hosted the paper bird garland and the paper butterfly garlands, both of which I really enjoyed and hope others did, too. For the month of April, let's create a paper fish garland for our partner! I think fish "skin" lends itself to lots of fun decorations--sequin scales or glitter--anything shiny and fabulous. You can also add eyes, lips, tails, fins, bubbles, anything you like. You'll be making one fish garland for one partner. It can be double-sided, or you can use double-sided paper, or just have a plain back, if that's what you prefer. The garland should measure at least 2 feet (24 inches), and have some type of loop on the top for hanging. The photo has several garlands hanging from a piece of driftwood--that's not necessary unless that is what you WANT to create. The picture is more of a flat mobile, which is OK, too, if that's what you'd like to make. As far as type of fish, anything goes, from tropical fish living in a fish tank (angel fish, betta fish, goldfish, etc.), to any type of ocean fish (including sharks! and dolphins, although, technically, dolphins are not fish)--just be creative and use nice paper! Definitely something heavier than copier paper. Use anything to string your garland together--beads, wire, floss, pearls, ribbon--anything beautiful and "fishy" So...requirements are: 1 fish garland to 1 partner garland must measure at least 24" Garland must have some type of loop for hanging You can check partner's profile for color preferences if you like hearts! I would like to invite everyone to join in the fun; however, if you're a newbie, or have recent low ratings, please message me for permission to join. My partner flaked me on the beaded butterfly swap, and I made two because I had to angel another swapper! So I sent two out and got zero in return....as a result, I'm a little hesitant about not setting any boundaries. |
