Description: | |
For this swap you will purchase a journal/notebook/notepad etc and fill it as much as you can (journal does not need to be filled out completely) with information on healthy heating using the prompts below plus anything else you can think to include- cut-outs from magazines, etc. You will send your completed journal to 1 partner. The purpose is two-fold. By writing down the techniques, tips, recipes, etc that you personally live by, you are reiterating to yourself the reasons you do what you do and reinforcing your own ideals making you a healthier person. Secondly, you are sharing these ideas with someone else, therefore helping them to be healthier! You must be open to different schools of thought when it comes to nutrition in order to join this swap. For example, you may receive a journal from a vegan. The journal would be filled with recipes, etc. from a vegan point of view. Likewise if you are vegetarian or vegan note that you might receive a journal from someone that is a meat eater and the recipes, etc. that are included may contain meat. I do however, ask that if you join the swap and are sending to someone in which you read in their profile that they are in fact vegetarian, etc. to please respect that and to omit any recipes, etc. that they obviously would not use. Thanks for your consideration on this. The journal should include: -A little bit about yourself, how important or not important it is for you to eat healthy, your eating habits, etc. History of eating (how were you raised? What kinds of things did you eat?) and how the habits have changed or stayed the same. -A list of at least 5 blogs or websites related to healthy eating that you like to visit and a little bit about them (why you like them, etc). -At least 10 healthy recipes you like to make or you would like to try. -A list of at least 5 books (can include cookbooks) you have read on the subject of food in general. Please include the authors and a synopsis. Have any of the books been life-altering? -A list of at least 10 power ingredients and why they are your favorite things to cook with or to eat. -Any thing else you think you might add that would encourage others to eat healthy. Let me know if you have any questions! Newbies are welcome but please only those with a rating of 5 (unless otherwise explained) since this will be a time-consuming swap. Disclaimer- It is a little ironic that I hosted a vintage candy swap and now this, but I would like more inspiration to eat healthy 99% of the time and that is the purpose of this swap!! |
