For this swap you send an envie 6x9 or larger with at least 4 items inside representing different things you remember fondly from your childhood.

You could send items based on your favourite cartoon, book, candy, toy etc when you were a kid.

You have to cover at least 4 parts of your child so you can't just say I liked care bears and send just 4 different care bear things. You have to talk about 4 or more aspects of your childhood and send at least 1 item representing each.

Also include a letter with your swap just about why you included what you did.

This swap is completely senders choice. It's about the senders childhood not the receivers.

by items, do you mean anything...? Notes, book reports, photos, etc? Or should it be something useful/ collectible beyond the purpose of getting to know each other and have fun?

I'm not sure if I completely understand the question but it's probable more toward second option. Try to send something your partner can enjoy aswell so they can also enjoy a bit of what you enjoyed when a kid. Your partner should be able to play with the item in some way. Like I'm going to send stuff like books, dvd, candy, toys. I play with them first then when my partner gets it they can play too.

I like the thought of this swap only so much of my childhood loves have ceased to exist or they are so altered they are unrecognizable. I need to think on this. If I can come up with 4 things to send I will.

THANK YOU @wackywallflower / @geekgirl33 ... why do they bother bringing back the things we love if they're just going to bastardize them? They even managed to ruin the candy!

The best place to look is old thift stores and garage sales if you wanna find the old stuff, it okay to send new stuff too though if you want.
