*Journal Page above by @sweetypiedie For this swap we will be making 3 A5 size journal pages for 1 partner. (A5 is half the size of stand office paper). Those new to journaling are welcome and encouraged to join. EDIT: you should make your pages one-sided. That means 3 separate pieces of paper/card. That way we can use either use double-sided tape, glue stick or decoupage glue to put them into our journals when we receive them Page 1 - Animal. On this page you will choose an animal your partner likes and make a page about this animal. It must include at least one picture. You can sketch, paint, draw, include facts about that animal, collage into one big picture of that animal or collage many small pictures. If your partner likes more than one animal please just choose one. Page 2 - Writing the night sky. On this page you can write in any form you like about what the night sky means to you. You can write a train of thought, a short story, a poem, a factual or intellectual piece. You can hand-write or type this but please try to decorate the page in some way that reflects the theme. If you do want to include the work of others please credit them properly and include at least a small amount of your own words to describe why this piece of writing (or song lyrics) resonates with you. Page 3 - Choose your materials. On this page you can create anything you like so long as use at least one of the following materials somewhere on the page:
On the back of each page please put your name, date (year at least), username and the swap it's for. Sign it if you want. You probably don't need to put which page is which but it can't hurt. :) You can details on the front if you like but I don't think they should take up too much space. Whenever possible journal pages should be sent flat, between card to protect them and marked "DO NOT BEND" If using chunky elements like buttons, ribbon or rhinestones, it is recommended that the page be mounted on to card (like a grocery box) to give it strength. Serious Stuff : I will check profiles before assigning partners to confirm that you have completed at least 5 rated snail mail swaps. I will angel in the unlikely event of any unreceived items which cannot be resolved with your partner. Please make sure you put in the time and effort to make something of great quality that you would love to receive. If you have any questions please let me know. Before you ask... I've chosen A5 because it's a good size to post, not too big for beginners, it's a standard that all should understand and it should fit into any journal books already established. |
