Description:

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!!!! So what better way get the word out there as well as support breast cancer organization then to swap pink ribbon items.

This swap you will purchase 4 pink ribbon items and send 2 item to 2 different partners. (4 items total). These items can be anything from pens, paper, pins, key chains, water bottles, stickers, jewellery, charms, bookmarks, postcards, stamps ect.

OR

You can purchase a pink ribbon "crafting supply" (eg fabric) and make something for your 2 partners. Just as long as which ever item you purchase some portion of it goes to Breast cancer organization.

I am placing a $5 (US) max. That does not mean your partner needs to spend $5 it just means no more then $5 is required.

Newbies are welcome (we were all new once) but you must complete your profile prior to signing up. You must have an impeccable record or a good argument as I do not tolerate flakers at all! I will kick you out of this swap if your history is dodgy.

The Breast Cancer Site has some great BC items.

Does it have to be purchased, or can it be made from purchased BC stuff, like I have the BC Pink ribbon fabric that I purchased (and a portion of sales goes to Susan G. Komen for the Cure)?

What a great swap idea. I've already seen BC cupcake form (you know, those paper things you pour the cupcake mix in when you bake them). I'm sure I'll find other things as well.

I know they have tons of different things with the pink ribbon on it. I was at walmart the other day and they had pink toilet paper!! lol

I am just asking because I am kind of new to this - if we are sending to international participants, does that mean that we are recieving from international people too?

shexshay 10/16/2010 #

Sometimes it does but it all depends on who the site picks for everyone. Like I sent a package to Norway yesterday but the two people who are sending to me are from Canada (where i live) and Netherlands. But I've been in international swap and received items from a partner who was in my own country but there were lot of people from other countries in the swap all just depends on who the site pairs you with.

Well that makes sense. I didn't want to ask such a silly question, but I kind of wondered! Thanks for you response!
