Craft goddess and ETSY.com-guru Emily Martin gave away one of her basic doll patterns a few years on Martha Stewart. It's call a Black Apple doll. It's a basic little rag doll pattern. I've made quite a few in my time. If you dig into your scrap bin -- you can mix and match fabrics and make something great. The finished doll is about 12 inches tall. I thought it would be fun to do a little swap. Everyone uses the same pattern but adds their own creative touches. Here's a link to the pattern and tut: http://www.marthastewart.com/article/black-apple-doll As for swap requirements: Doll must be sewn and doll must be made of fabric. (Felt hair and accessories are ok but I'm thinking the body and face should be fabric.) Swappers must have completed at least 10 type-3 swaps Absolutely no 1s on your profile.(Message me if you think you have a compelling reason why I should overlook that) 4.85 profile rating or better. Please consider your partner's profile but ultimately this is sender's choice. (This means if you get a sewn doll in a timely manner, please give a 5 rating.) |
