Description:

This swap is perfect for scrapbookers and papercrafters! We're always in need of supplies and embellishments!

This is United States only to keep the postage cost down and swappers MUST have a 5.00 rating to participate to ensure we don't get any flakers. I'll post in the forum to request angels if anyone is flaked on and I'll angel as well. I'll be looking at everyone's profile too to make sure all requirements are meet and swappers are in good standing.

SIMPLE & SWEET INSTRUCTIONS: You'll have one (1) swap partner. Fill a small box, about the size of a cigar box with scrapbooking supplies and paper crafting embellishments: gems, mini clear stamps, Stickles glitter glue, brads, ribbon, rub-ons, stickers, and any other small goodies!

Don't skimp-FILL IT UP!

This is not profile driven, but feel free to read your partners wishlist and likes and try to send them items they would like and could use.

WHERE TO GET THE GOODIES: I recommend raiding the $1 Store, the $1 section at Michael's and Joann's, or the $1 section at Target. Tuesday Mornings has some great affordable items too! Feel free to raid your own supply stash, but the items MUST BE NEW AND UNOPENED!!

Let's keep it under $20 per box, but I know you can fill a box with plenty of goodies for way less than that!

Post below for any questions or open discussion and other recommendations as to where to buy affordable supplies for scrapbookers!

Happy Swapping!

Another Recommedation: You can order a large kit from SEI or another company and have it mailed directly to your swap partner. Right now, if you sign up at SEI's website they offer amazing deals. About every month or so they offer a $100 dollar value box of scrapbooking supplies for only $19.99! I have received two boxes from them so far and the supplies are high value and amazing!! Can't beat the deal!
If you are interesting in doing this for your partner or purchasing for yourself, just message me on swap-bot with your direct email address and I'll forward you the email for this month's deal.

Here is the link to SEI, but you won't be able to access the special $100 monthly deals unless you sign up for their newsletter-It is always sent in their monthly email as a special link to the deal.

I can't wait for this one!! I love to scrapbook and make homemade cards!!

Swappers-Feel free to decorate your box too, if you feel so inclined-but it's not required!

I'm thinking of hosting a decorated box for storing clear stamps-what say you? Anyone interested? Feedback welcome!

Oh,what fun! I already have some items in mind to put in my partner's box! PaperMoments-I have to go check that out!! I personally love recycled and vintage materials. Is it ok for me to say my partner can send me somethings not "new" and I would be very happy?

catnipitis 04/ 2/2011 #

I just want to make sure, but is this for just scrapbooking type items or for any paper type craft?

PaperMoments 04/ 4/2011 #

RadicalRecrafter-yes, you just did! Hopefully your partner will read this and see that you don't mind non-new items. Or you can always PM them, once partners are assigned.

catnipitis-Cute user name! You can include paper crafting items as long as they can basically attached to a scrapbook page or a handmade greeting card. I wouldn't send a kit for a box or something like that, but a mini photo album would be okay. Hope that helps. Might help me if I know what you had in mind to send.

Thanks for thinking my user name is cute. Yes it helps. I was thinking along the lines of like things to go towards making cards. :)

This is a great swap and I would also like to toss in that I don't mind getting used rubber stamps that someone is tired of as long as they still stamp good because they would still be new to me!!

@PaperMoments - I am cleaning out my craft stash, so I am not in need of any new stuff to add to it, but please msg me if you need an angel for this swap - I'd rather just give than to receive for this swap. :)

TO MY SWAP PARTNER- Hi! I LOVE older/vintage items to use in paper crafting, so not everything (or anything) has to be new or store bought for me. Get a great deal on some things/papers/buttons/ribbons/whatever that are older or vintage at a flea market garage sale your stash or etc. and that is fine with me. Whatever is available!

PaperMoments 05/ 1/2011 #

To my swap partner- Please don't send me stickers, I'll never use them : ). But I Love the cheap little clear stamps made by studio G. Also I desperately need flowers: felt, paper, tissue, fabric, any kind. I use them often and I am low. They can even be handmade/punched from paper or die cut. Other than that, just check my profile for some other things I like.

I also love old, vintage, repurposed, unique and found items, and would be happy to get some of them instead of just "new" items. I also am open to used stamps, my profile hast lots of ideas if you are unsure of what found or repurposed items are :o)
