C+P: Not Your Ordinary Canvas

Time to dig around in the recycle/scrap bin, everyone!

Your challenge is to create one "objet d'art" from something that would usually be discarded. Things like:

• scrap pieces of wood / paneling / flooring
• old CD's/DVD's ~ VHS, even
• container lids
• boxes / tins

Really, anything relatively flat that'll accept your crafty ministrations.

The Rules:

• The point of this swap is to alter something that isn't usually considered a canvas for art; no actual canvases, picture frames, matte boards, etc.
• It should go without saying (but I'm saying it): make sure your canvas is clean (as in: not gross with bug guts or old food bits).
• The minimum size requirement is 4" on a side (or in diameter). How large you go is up to you.
• As usual, the medium is collage or mixed media collage. The theme or style you go with is entirely up to you.
• If the item you make is not something that can stand on its own, it would be nice if you incorporated a way to hang it.
