I extended the send date by 2 days :)

newbies welcome will well out profile at least 3 boxes filled out! I will check profiles completely and remove any iffy swappers. though newbies are permitted, flakers are not. so if you have recent 1s or 3s you may or will be removed.

Okay to the fun stuff

Inchies are 1 square inch pieces of art. they are fun and addictive to make and collect. people put them on canvases and create beautiful mosaics! think atc, okay now think smaller............no smaller than what you just thought of! 1 inch!

create

4 inchies and the theme is senders choice as long as your theme is not offensive. make sure they are 1 inch. no slant cuts, crooked sides, that's not okay.

4 inchies to 1 partner. I will put some inchie inspiration sites up soon.

any artistic medium welcome, collage hand draw, add embellishments, be creative. your inchies should be sturdy, not thin flimsy squares. **and do not glue them to a larger pc. of paper.

NO sticker slapping and calling it done. accent stickers are okay as long as they are part of the overall theme.

I will angel, but I don't want to so that's why I will check profiles

What's the object of an inchie? Are they used in sewing projects (clothing, home decore?), craft projects? Thanks!

Candyn29 07/29/2011 #

hello, they are for collecting, like most of us trade artist tradings cards, inchies are the same concept just was smaller

turtlelady45 07/30/2011 #

OK, thanks...

I have never made inchies before. Does the creator mount them onto a background? Or Is that for the receiver to do?

Candyn29 07/30/2011 #

if the receiver wants they will mount them on a larger canvas or keep them in books the sender makes the inchies, sturdy of course. if you need inspiration look at the links or check my flickr

gooseberry 07/30/2011 #

thank you! Yes, I've checked the links out, just wasn't sure if we sent them on backgrounds or not. Thank you for answering my question. :)

I send my inchies attached to playing cards or ATC blanks.... 6 inchies fit very well!

Inchies addictive...more so than ATCs in my opinion lol

If you want to attach them to a solid back - for example, an ATC blank - for sending, what is the best way to do so? I was thinking of using Blu-tack or something similar, is this a good idea?

Candyn29 08/ 4/2011 #

you can attactch them to an atc or pc back, but use some thing that will not destroy the inchie when your partner pulls them off

PhoenixRonda 08/ 5/2011 #

I believe I will give this a try. Interesting...

I've been using REMOVABLE double sided tape-well, until I ran out that is. It doesn't rip or tear the inchie. Granted, I'm not sure if it stays secure through transit, I haven't heard otherwise.
