Hi, I am from Buffalo NY, but I grew up in Philadelphia. I moved here for family.

I’m currently in nursing school after working as a firefighter for 3 years. And I enjoy reading, cooking, baking, and going to the gym. I also love spending time outside, weather permitting (it is very extreme here). I do love to thrift, and go antiquing. Especially vintage fashion, and hair. But I try to be thoughtful as I’m very conscious of my consumerism.

I have a pet cat, dumpling who is a little goblin. She is very mischievous. And a dog, Bella, who is an absolute sweetheart who could do no wrong. She is a super mutt, something like a black lab, pit bull and maybe German pointer? They are complete opposites, and that is what I love.

On here to seek out new connections and perspectives, and to try out a new hobby :) I am completely new to pen paling like this. I had a few long distance friends before but never used it as a way to connect with strangers. I’ve been getting really into journaling and writing over the past two years and this feels very complimentary to that.

Fahrenheit 451 (Ray Bradbury), and Anxious People (Fredrik Backman), and various short stories from Andre Dubus. But ask me about what I’m reading currently!! I have a new book every week, and I’m always looking for new recommendations.

Country/Americana, and Oldies. Love new recommendations, especially if they branch out from those genres.

My favorites are All Quiet on the Western Front (1934) and Pretty Woman. I like most rom-coms. I’m usually not very up to date on the latest movies, but occasionally I try to watch something on streaming.
