About Me

Am a single mom of two awesome teenagers. I am a Breast Cancer survivor. If I could, I sometimes think I'd spend all day doing crafts and cooking...how domestic is that?

We have a Cockatiel who sings "If I Only Had a Brain", and two darling house rabbits who don't do any singing but we love them just the same.

Favorite Television

I admit it: I love LOST! even though I am totally confused. LOL Also like Survivor, Top Chef, and The Riches.

I have an iPod and love it. I don't know which I like the best - the music, the videos or the podcasts!

Favorite Crafts

Knitting, felting (wet and needle), sewing, beading, papercrafts, rubber stamping. Am learning PMC.

Images/Things I Love

Butterflies, turtles, bees, insects, flowers, birds, trees, snowmen, Jack O Lanterns,owls, orchids, morning glories, bunnies, pine cones, spider webs, birds' nests, holiday things.

I like rich colors as opposed to pastel; natural fibers, handmade things.

I lean towards old fashioned/vintage images.

Collections

Dice (all sizes, shapes and materials), PEZ dispensers (old and new), tokens (old ride or advertising). Now collecting antique buttons - ones with images or pictures on them, especially birds and plants. I'm using them to make molds for silver jewelry.

MISC.

In addition to any of the above, I would enjoy: beads, tea, nice pens (I journal), pocket tissues, rubber stamps, knitting patterns (beginner/easy), LOL I hope that's enough to go on!

  • bits of 100% wool yarn (no piece is too small)

Response: So glad you liked everything. My daughter and I learned to make those little beaded bugs several years ago....I keep thinking I'll make some and hang them in my windows but I haven't done it yet. LOL

i'm really glad she liked the box. it was my first one, and i will be things differently next time around. namely, i don't think i'll bother reattaching the closure, as i don't think any box with fabric in the joint will close all the way. but i thought it came out cute, and i'm glad she thought so, too.
