Generalissimo

Edit 2014: Oh my gosh you guys, life is crazy! I don't want to delete my profile because it does explain those 1s back in 2008 (which seems like forever ago), but reading it, I realize how much I feel like a different person. Anyhow, it's 2014, my daughter is 9, we live in northern Michigan, and things are pretty awesome. My likes and dislikes are pretty much the same. I've added a few things here and there. :)

I am either 5'4" or 5'6", and wear wide sized shoes. My birthday is in July - I'm a Cancer. I am married, with a 5-year old daughter. It's only taken 5 years, but I'm almost sane again after the craziest year of my life. Married, had a baby, then evacuated from New Orleans and moved across the country...

So, yeah, I was on Swap-bot for a while in 2007-2008. In Portland, OR & just after we moved home. I may or may not have needed medication at some point just after that. Everyone has a story, right? Anyway, I'm going to try this again.

I like scrapbook paper, but not most other scrapbook accessories. Stickers will probably go to my daughter, but that isn't a bad thing at all! I move a lot, so I don't collect anything too huge. But I love small art objects, jewelry, and flat items like postcards and posters.

Some of my interests are blue glass, art nouveau, collage art, mail art, rabbits, owls, hedgehogs, beads, sideshows, travel, water, parody, home decor, the Edwardian era, book-Oz and roadside attractions.

And two things I'm really not into at all - country decor & irony

La Roux, Futureheads, Dragonette, Lady Gaga... also Neko Case, New Pornographers, Paula Frazer.

The Last Unicorn, Evil Dead, Adventures of Baron Munchausen... pretty much any comedic fantasy.

Dr. Who, The Office (US and UK), Maison Ikkoku, Columbo, Twin Peaks, Scrubs, Red Dwarf, Electric Company

Paper crafts, assemblage, jewelry making. Braided ribbon bracelets. I sew well enough for myself, but I don't think anyone else would want my sewing... Making ren faire clothes for myself & my family.

I love Terry Pratchett, Christopher Moore, Neil Gaiman and the like.

I am also interested in non-fiction about grammar, random facts, forteana, or medieval history.
