Hello! My name is Janneke and I live in the north of the Netherlands. I love all kinds of crafts, and sending postcards and/or happy mail is one of them! In my daily life I work in water technology, but in my free time I am actually a pretty big nerd! I am a big fan of everything fantasy and history, especially the middle ages. I spend a lot of my time playing Dungeons and Dragons and other board games, or reading books (preferably also fantasy or science fiction). When I go out and about, you can often find me in historical dress somewhere as I do reenactment or living history. I made my own clothing to fit into 14th, 15th and 17th century settings, and I love to study those periods, and try to be as accurate as possible.

When it comes to happy mail, I am not very picky, I like to see what you make! Things I love are botanical, whimsical, artistic and vintage themes, preferably made of old book pages or something like that. I think recycling is very cool! I also love tea and stickers, I use them all the time in my journal, but I am happy to be surprised by whatever you send me.

I prefer not to receive glitters, as I try to minimize the use of microplastics as much as possible (that's what they are unfortunately, and if they end up in the water me and my colleagues have to filter them out again!). Larger sequins are totally fine, I use those in embroidery projects!
