Well, it was a long break for me, but I am back now and will try to do a limited amount of trading....Thanks for hanging in there.
April 19, 2010 taking a short break and doing some teaching..be back soon. Kathy
If you are making a card/ATC/bookmark for me, these are the things I love...pink roses..glittery flowers, old keys, old sheet music, anything French...pastel colors, aged look, antique "junky" embellishments. Old typewriter keys, new, fake or old... Halloween all year around suits me fine. Used postage stamps, especially anything that looks old. anything like Tim Holtz (youtube is full of him)...I rubber stamp everyday, and usually have inky fingers. Thanks for looking!!
A note about postage due... Due to the fact that our Post Office workers have different ideas on what needs an extra 20 cent stamp or not, if you ever receive an envelope that you need to pay extra, please please tell me. I will gladly send you the postage due. I do not want anyone to feel I don't play fair.
A note about extras and hearts
I will give hearts to swaps that I can tell the person put a lot of thought, time and creativity into. I do not need extras in order to rate with a heart. Please do not feel as though you need to add extras to my swaps unless it's something you know I'll really love. I promise to give you a heart if I feel the swap was extra special even w/o extras. Also, please note that if extras are included but I can tell there was no thought put into the swap itself, I will not feel obligated to rate with a heart. I've decided that I will not include extras just to get a heart. I would hope that the work I do and the quality of swaps I send are heart worthy w/o adding extra paper, stickers or whatever to the swap. I will not be upset if you do not give me a heart but hope that you will agree that rating hearts should have to do with how special the actual swap is w/o the consideration of extras.
I love to make cards from my stash of scrapbook paper and rubber stamps. I answer all my email and love to swap....
I love all of Tim Holtz/Ranger inks, stamps, etc. So if you have anything like that laying around gathering dust, please let me know. I enjoy watching his tutorials on YouTube and checking out his blog. I'm really into grungepaper, and can't wait to get his new stuff..
I live in Brea, which is in Orange Co, California. I love vintage dishes, and decorate my house in Shabby Chic style. I love to do table settings, and give parties just to use the dishes. My three children are grown, and we have three chihuahuas that rule the house.
I am a OMA which is grandma in dutch. I visit my granddaughter and her family in Las Vegas around once a month, but instead of gambling, I visit the craft stores.
I'm not a good writer, but take great photographs.
..not allergic to anything in particular...
Favorites:
Tim Holtz stamps, papers, etc.
Any vintage/old text, like from telephone pages, old books, dictionaries, etc...
vintage children photos,
used postage stamps from anywhere.
crocheted doilys in white are fantastic. Crocheted trim I can't get enough of...
OK, three things I would never want, crossword puzzles (I'm hopeless at them) fingernail polish (never use) and fancy soaps (skin sensitivity)..
don't really care for oriental artwork, guess it's the bright colors..I'm a pastel person.

I meant 'tag' not 'matchbox'! Following a postal disruption here, I have received an avalanche of happy mail which I am feverishly sending thank you's for. I think the excitement and lovely things have made my brain mushy. x
Thank you so much for the gorgeous matchbox for the "Handmade Tag Game" in the Tim Holtz Addicts Group! You have absolutely spoiled me! The tag is fabulous and I love things with a 'Z' on. The 3 additional tags are wonderful, especially the Parisian style 'Dream' tag. I love the old fashioned adverts, Victorian prints and the tickets you sent are my favourite! But I nearly wept when I saw the playing cards. Wherever did you get them? Thank you so much, it really was happy mail. xxx
As a fellow cupcake lover and crafter, perhaps you'd be interested in our new swap.... Halloween Cupcake Toppers!
Cheers,
Mimi

Hello friend! I started a matchbox group called matchbox & more and I was hoping since you like to make matchboxes that you'd be interested in joining? I'd love to have you as a member! :)
Hi Kathy, Thank you so much for the huge stash of ATC cards ready cut and ready for me to get creative with. This should help get me on a good start with learning ATC's! I really appreciate it. Take care! Ginger
Your ATCS are so sweet and beautiful! Your style is very delicate and dainty! It is so pretty! I am so lucky to have several in my collection now! XO
I got your lipstick ATC in the mail today...how did you make the background of the card? Was that paint splattered on it? I loved it!
