Hi! My name is Katja and I'm a 22-year-old industrial design student from the Netherlands. I really enjoy being creative and exchanging mail with people from all over the world!

My biggest hobby is travelling. I absolutely love exploring new places, meeting new people, and learning about other cultures. This year, I'm planning to visit Tanzania and Guatemala. Any tips/recommendations are always welcome! I would also love to receive recommendations for your home country, or hear about your favorite holiday destination :)

My other hobbies include photography, bouldering (which is a form of climbing), playing the piano, hanging out with friends, reading, cooking, playing board & card games, being creative, and spending time outside and in nature (either hiking, cycling, on a longboard, canoe or stand-up paddle board).

As for creative stuff, I enjoy doing lots of things. For example, scrapbooking, penpalling, watercolor painting, sketching, snailmail, zentangle, making cards & envelopes, handlettering, keeping a travel journal, etc. I recently started crocheting, and love it!

I have tried and enjoyed making quite some different crafts so far, including ATC's, flipbooks, zines, inchies, pocket letters & mail art.

I'm always open to do a private swap if you have some similar interests!

I'm currently looking for the following things:

• Return address labels with my address
• Letter writing paper/stationary sheets (+ envelopes)
• Anything related to Totoro (I recently saw the movie and now I'm obsessed lol)

I especially like these things if they have one of the following themes: travel, summer, plants/flowers, woodland, elephants, cats, beavers, nature & sunset. But I'll be happy with anything you send me :)

Book recommendations, recipes (vegetarian), uncommon facts about your country, and words/sentences in your language with translations are always welcome and would be really appreciated!

I collect the stamps from the envelopes I receive, so it always makes me happy when there are lots of different ones, or very pretty/unique designs. I like to collect these as a way to keep track of which countries I've received mail from, while also building a small collection of different stamps from countries.

Favorites:

• Colours: teal/aqua/turquoise, purple, and pastels
• Animals: elephants, beavers & cats (also have a cat, named Elmo)
• Season: summer
• Tea: any unique flavor/your favorite tea! (as long as it's individually wrapped)
• Plant: monstera
• Chocolate: white & milk
• Places: the beach & lakes surrounded by mountains
• Music: 80s

I really love to receive touristic postcards from the place you live/a place you have visited with some information about the place written on the back!

Furthermore I love map postcards, postcards featuring cats, elephants or beavers (or any cute animal actually), botanical postcards, nature/scenic postcards, and handmade postcards.

I prefer postcards sent naked, but wouldn't mind if you sent them in an envelope. Also, I prefer the standard 4'' x 6'' (A6) sized postcards, because those fit in the boxes I store them in :)

Things I'd rather not receive: - anything related to religion or politics - kiddie themed stuff (like dora & frozen) - I like Disney, but have no use for disney-themed stuff (except for Dumbo & Heffalump) - ribbons - sticky notes - reward, alphabet & planner stickers - coffee - halloween themed things - photographed/realistic animals on stationary (I love animals, but only use animated/kawaii ones in my crafts. However, on postcards I like them both animated and realistic) - anything that smells like smoke.
