Greetings from the Pacific Northwest!
I'm a librarian who enjoys many crafty pursuits. My biggest problem is I need a second head and set of arms so I can read while I craft.
UPDATE (2/17/19) - I am in the process of moving to a new home much closer to work, which will eventually allow me more time for crafty pursuits. However, my supplies are packed away until I get my new crafting space set up, which hopefully won't take too long. I'll be back!
I dabble in a lot of different things, depending on my mood. In no particular order...
Crochet
Cross-stitch
Embroidery
Rubber stamp carving
Rubber stamping
Watercolor
Colored pencils
Nature journaling
Zentangle
Collage
Snail mail (I send lots of postcards)
Photography
Gardening
Writing
Beadwork
I am planning to improve my hand-lettering and learn letterpress this winter.
Sadly, being a librarian does not mean I am able to read books all day. I do have a rather long commute to work, so I've taken to listening to audiobooks while I drive. I like all sort of different books:
Fiction: mystery, thriller, literary, funny, short stories, dystopian, sci-fi
Non-fiction: science, nature, field guides, crafts, gardening, memoir, biography, infographics, history, humor
Graphic novels: fiction and non-fiction, NOT manga
Other qualities I enjoy in books: beautiful illustrations, gritty characters/story, plot twists,
Music is everything at our house - it's on all the time. We go to the occasional show, but are rather picky since we're getting a bit old for the late night and long drive home from Seattle.
Just like books, I enjoy a wide variety of music. Here's a mix of bands and genres that make me happy:
DUSTdevils
The Fall
Algiers
Almost anything on Matador Records (but especially the older stuff)
Surf
Punk
Rockabilly
Old country
80's (new wave, ahhh youth)
The Dirtbombs
The Gories
Fuzz guitars
Dexy's Midnight Runners (there's much more to life than Come on Eileen)
Blur
The Cramps
Gun Club
Echo and the Bunnymen
The Ex
XTC
X
Ska
Reggae
Pylon
Bush Tetras
ESG
Dog Faced Hermans
Rank and File
Iggy Pop
CLOWNS! Yes, I am that person. I do not run in terror at the sight of a clown.

Please don't send anything religious - I'm an atheist.
I'm just not that into TV shows or movies. I haven't owned a television in over ten years.
And I really, really dislike the song Hallelujah - it doesn't matter who sings. it.
Sports. Just no. No sportsball.
Girly stuff.
Inspirational quotes.
No thanks to nudity (unless it's classical art).
I will happily take the postcards nobody else seems to want - snakes, spiders, etc.
Clowns! If you can send a clown postcard I'll be thrilled.
Pretty much anything from my above "like" list above.
Weird stuff welcome!
