I recently became an adult - meaning I got a fountain pen - and ever since I try and find excuses to handwrite.
I was born in Madrid and I'm madly in love with my hometown. I just am.
I have been lucky enough to travel around quite a bit. I love visiting new places but mostly getting to know them. This means I usually stay long periods of time wherever I go. I often come back to the same places over and over.
The hardest part is to leave people behind. The nicest is to sometimes have a nice letter from across the sea waiting on your mailbox. But since postcards and letters don't arrive that often, I'd very much like to have some proper pen-pals.
I of course love music (are there people who don’t?)
The last concerts I've been to, for instance, were Bob Dylan, Vetusta Morla, Benjamin Clementine. Next will be Estrella Morente, Aniello Desiderio, Fuel Fandango.
I love reading. My main struggle is to find time to devote to my books. Some of my favorite books I read 10 years ago, and feel I should re-read them just to verify I still like them (I used to read many great Russian novels, but is not like you can commit to read War and Peace every other month)
Some books that come to mind now: Romancero Gitano (Federico GarcÃa Lorca), Just Kids (Patti Smith), Voices from Chernobyl (Svetlana Alexievich).
Willing to read your suggestions!
A really characteristic trait about me is that I draw. All the time. I always carry around my book with my drawings, which basically reflect my life as a sort of journal: things that happen, scenes I see on the streets, portions of imagination... Boredom is unknown when you can just draw it out
I am interested in private swaps! Let me know if you are too :-)
