Hi everyone, my name is Katie and I am excited to start swapping! In the past couple of years, with the help of my grandma I have begun to sew clothing and knit, but I love all crafts. I try to frequently send cards and packages to my friends that live far away, and now I would love to make new friends to share the excitement of snail mail with me!

I love so many different kinds of music, but for the sake of this category I will name a few of my favorites. Perkasie is a local band that my friends are in and I'd say I have to be one of their biggest fans. I also enjoy listening to She & Him, The Everybodyfields, Belle & Sebastian, Devendra Banhart, and so many others. I also have inherited my mom and dad's record collection which gives me access to wonderful artists of the past, which I also enjoy greatly. I am always looking for new favorites.

Well I just graduated with a degree in English, so picking my favorite books is by far one of the hardest things to do! I am currently reading Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver but I also keep a book of short stories nearby for late at night reading before bed. Right now I'm reading All the Anxious Girls on Earth by Zsuzsi Gartner. Another favorite book of short stories is No One Belongs Here More Than You by Miranda July. Classics are always worth reading too!

I just started receiving NetFlix so I have been watching such movies as Be Kind Rewind, Rocket Science, Lars and the Real Girl, The King of California, and many more. I try to watch a lot but sometimes it's hard to find time!

Not too much tv for me, yet I do have a weakness for Cash Cab and Gossip Girl (shhh)

Sewing is my favorite craft by far, but I still have so much to learn. I also love crafts that involve writing and decorating, so I think postcard swaps will be a favorite of mine. I enjoy trying to make anything that I can! I'd have to say my favorite look is vintage but I truly love anything creative.
