My name is Paula, I am a retired nurse and live in Upstate NY. I enjoy the changing seasons and the beauty of the natural world. I am eclectic in my likes. I am very creatve, and enjoy all the arts I like to garden, and can most of my vegetables. I am an animal lover, with 2 dogs and a canary. My newest hobby is raising chickens for wonderful free range chicken eggs. I have 7 chick's to start with. They are beautiful and all have names. :-) I help out at a friends goat farm, I love baby goats.I enjoy bird watching wherever I am. I collect sewing thimbles and sea shells and other "sea treasures"

I enjoy many genres, including musicals, some classical, most country, all bluegrass..especially folk and spiritual, 50's, 60's, rock and roll, pop, hip-hop and jazz. I play acoustic guitar and I am trying to learn to play the fiddle (violin). Music transcends me, I enjoy anything with a beat!!!

Fantasy: e.g. Eragon series, King Aurthur, Twilight series, House of Night series, Self help books and instructional books, craft books. Poetry, especially Robert Frost and life or nature poems

All needle work, except tatting...Can't figure that out! Sewing and quilting All painting, including water, acrylic ,and oils. Papercrafting, including journaling, card making, mixed media art work, quilling. I am trying to learn to sew textile landscapes and then quilt them.

Many PBS programs: Downton Abby, Doc Martin, Mr. Selfridge, Mercy Street, Call the midwife. Many history stories by Ken Burns and the wonderful music programs. I enjoy comedy like Big Bang Theory and Mike and Molly.
I follow the Vampire Diaries and the Originals. I also enjoy most of the Hallmark series, especially When Call the Heart.
