Rapture

I grew up in a gorgeous small town in New England, but I currently live in NYC. My favorite thing in the world to do is travel. I've been all over the country and to a number of foreign countries as well. My favorite place so far is the Bahamas. I love being in nature and hiking, whitewater rafting, swimming, snorkeling, etc.

I adore unique handmade items, and whenever possible I try to avoid corporate and mass-produced stuff. I like:

*the ocean, marine animals (not jellyfish though!), lakes, rivers, streams, waterfalls - any body of water

*postcards of any kind, especially handmade - feel free to send me handmade even if swap specifies store bought. Also don't be afraid to send vintage cards.

*stickers

*horror movies

*spooky things (nothing grinning/smiling)

*abandoned buildings, urban blight, post-apocalyptic scenes

*old sci-fi/outer space themes (like robots and rayguns)

*organic products, cruelty-free items (not animal tested)

*Canadian swappers: I'd love to get a Wunderbar candybar. I ate some on a trip there and loved them. So tasty!

Red and burgundy, but I also like black and silver. I prefer darker colors.

Scents: nature-based scents like pine, lavender, cinnamon, lime, ocean, sage, apple, rain, spice, cucumber melon, eucalyptus, vanilla, etc.

Favorite animal: cats. I have a calico named Calliope.

Mainly goth, industrial, EBM, synthpop, and new wave. I love darker music that you can dance to (or poppy 80s new wave!). I try to be a non-materialist. I would much rather spend my money having experiences (like traveling) than buying stuff. Also, I hate clutter. On that note, I would much rather receive items I can use up (like tea or incense) or your handmade artwork than "knick knacks" or other useless shelf-sitters.

Other stuff not to send: preachy/religious items; jewelry (I don't wear much!); picture frames; candleholders or incense holders (maxed out on these); "cutesy" things (like kawaii).
