PLEASE NOTE: I want to apologize that I am behind on my swaps!!! Life has gotten kind of crazy for me in terms of work and life in general. I promise to fulfill all my outstanding swaps and I will not be signing up for new swaps until I am sure things will be more steady in my life. I understand that to keep the system running and running fairly, fair ratings (3s when late) need to be given, so I completely understand. Once swaps are received, I would request that any 1s be upgraded to 3s though... I am truly belated, but I will not be a flaker, I promise. Again, I apologize! Thanks all for understanding!. :( :( :(
I am a young single woman who lives in sunny AZ. I enjoy a number of hobbies, including photography, puzzles, cooking/baking, travel, music and theater. See also the favorite crafts section below. I enjoy reading and watching movies. I love learning new things. :)
I love animals of all sorts, but especially cats (my profile picture is my cat Addy) and reptiles of all kinds. I collect frogs and silver/white/red/rustic snowflake ornaments. I also love chocolate and candles, but beware of sending items that could melt anytime from April to November as it is HOT here.
I have a million different types of hobbies and way too many projects. Some of my arts and crafts hobbies include sketching, computer art/graphic design, digital scrapbooking, paper mache, decoupage, crocheting, patchwork quilting, and needle felting (this is a new hobby).
I enjoy a lot of music. I really enjoy alternative, pop, country, bluegrass, folk, oldies, classical, soundtracks and musicals. I'm not as familiar with R&B, Jazz, Hard Rock or Rap.
Basically, I'm what I like to call a hopeful romantic. I am a Jane Austen fan, through and through. Jane Eyre is also top of the list, and I enjoy fairy tales--particularly those with a fun twist on a familiar tale. I also just finished To Say Nothing of the Dog and absolutely loved it! Keep in mind that I'm not interested in sexy romance novels; I enjoy more of the classic romance.
My favorite colors are red and silver, but I really love all colors. I especially like jewel tones. When I have my own home, I plan to decorate my living room in butter cream yellow and a natural green, but my kitchen will be dark red, forest green and black with accents of gold (like an Italian kitchen). I'm still deciding on bathroom colors, but right now I am thinking a navy blue and Kelly green. I love dark wood grains. I also have very simple taste.
I like a lot of movies. I love romances (of the classic kind, e.g., Emma) but also like 13 going on 30 and Hitch. The A&E version of Pride and Prejudice is my favorite movie and I could watch it (all 5 wonderful hours) over and over again. I also enjoy adventure action films, like Indiana Jones, National Treasure, Italian Job, etc. I also love The Muppets, Wallace and Grommet, family animated films and Pixar. I'm not as much into depressing dramas and I hate being scared.
I don't have a lot of time to watch TV, but I love American Idol and Bones. I also like So You Think You Can Dance? and Project Runway.
I like and appreciate many things, but I do have to include a list of a few of the things that I don't want to receive.
No earrings please! I am highly allergic to metals and can't wear them. Other jewelery is nice, but I can't wear rings for very long either.
PLEASE No coffee, tea or alcohol, and no products or recipes with these ingredients.
I don't appreciate media, books, photos or other items that contain sexual references, crude humor, inappropriate language or excessive violence.
