Congrats on learning to be a midwife. I live a pretty natural lifestyle, so attachment parenting is just me listening to my instinct. It is very important to me and I think helps me with so many things with my son. I have yet t see the terrible 2s in my house and have renamed them the "terrific twos!" It is great when people share info about AP - so many moms think they have to put baby in a stroller, or a crib, and not hold baby too much or it may spoil them. You are right - we did evolve to take care of our children this way - not by neglecting them. You can never give a child too much love. Every mom can do it, it is just whether they want to - and you are right it is probably because they do not want to take the time. But the little bit of time now makes it less time later, KWIM? I agree that many problems with our youth can be contributed to lack of parenting. Have you ever read "How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk" by Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish - and books by Alfie Kohn - also great parenting resources, and to be used with communication with anyone, not just kids. Hope your midwife training goes really well!

Thank you SO much for the wonderful prize package you sent me for winning the Mystery Place contest you hosted at the fun and games and prizes group. The prize pack you sent was packed full of all kinds of great surprises! I love everything so much, thank you a million times! I can really tell you took the time and read my profile and tried to find things that I really like! That really means a lot to me, so thanks for that also, in addition to the thank yous for the wonderful, lovely prizes...you are so sweet to have sent so much! Thanks also for hosting the game at the group and for your participation, it's so much more fun when there are people actually there playing the games!!! Hugs, Joanne

Oh yeah, also, is it okay if I add you as a friend on here? I'm going to Click ADD FRIEND, and if you would like to friend me also, please accept! Thanks!

OOOHHHH I noticed you like trying new treats from different countries(well you liked a couple new things you tried)...I am going to HIGHLY recommend that you try STROOPWAFELS from Holland...they are AMAZING...especially the kind with caramel in the middle. I put mine in the microwave for about 5 or 10 seconds...but I think the proper way to warm them is by sitting them on top of your tea or coffee cup...I think you'd really enjoy them. You can get them at International food markets like Jungle Jim's and Trader Joe's if you have those near you...if not, maybe a swap-bot swapper will send you some...as a matter of fact, when I go get some more, I will get some and send to you as an RAK! =o) I really think you'd like them! Hugs, Joanne
