My favorite colors- I like khaki green & khaki beige, chartreuse green, bright green, most greens, red, pink, oranges, blues (especially turquoise), charcoal gray and black, white (particularly off whites), but I like other colors, too. I like bright colors, I like pastels, I like dark colors...There are very few colors I don't like (puce, muddy colors...)

Things I don't really like:

Country music (although, every once in a while I like something old school, like Johnny Cash). Lapsang Souchong & chamomile tea coffee (unless it has lots of stuff in it or it's really concentrated, like Greek coffee) dried fish products knit fabrics, in general. I prefer natural fibers to man made. Children's stickers (I don't hate them, I just don't use them for anything) Plastic beads I don't do scrapbooking, but I do occasionally use some supplies for making other things Plastic Headbands or any hard headband, they hur & give me headaches Clip-on earrings, I can't wear them (though, I might be able to use them for something else) Durian flavored anything

And: Melodrama, swappers that make up rules not listed in the swap or on Swap-Bot and extremely picky swappers that want something in very specific styles, not made clear in their profile, even in 'not profile specific swaps. I don't work in all styles, can't make everything & work very hard to make something I think you might like, based on your profile & the swap. It's very disappointing to go through all of that work only to be rated down

So, as the government shutdown looms on, I'm not sure how much longer or how much I'll be able to participate here, on Swap-Bot. It's uncertain how much longer our store will be open, if there will be a furlough or how long it will last. I enjoy making things & sending them along to my partners & hope that it won't be necessary to stop swapping, but I don't know if I'll be able to continue...

*** 8/14/21 MAIL THIEVES! *** We had mail stolen out of our mailbox, again! I have a bunch of torn envelopes, with nothing in them, that my neighbors found. Some, I've identified & contacted the senders, but others, I can't tell what was in them or where they're from. There may be Swap items among the missing items & there may have been things which were not found by neighbors or that did not have addresses on them. Just in case you've sent something recently and haven't been rated yet ***8/21/23 More Mail Thieves! I don't know everything that was taken, other than a couple of things I've ordered. If I should have received a swap from you, around this time & have not rated you, please let me know. ***12/13/23 Mail Thieves Again! I hate them! This past week we where hit twice! It's getting close to Christmas, so they're probably looking for gifts, money and it's apparently easier to steal than to get your own! ***10/9/25 Yes, the mailbox thieves have struck again & I still hate them!😡😠😤 If I should have received something from you recently and have not rated, please let me know. They did leave a chunk of cardboard swap and a few other bits of mail, but not much. They must have been interrupted

12/17/24 Weather! Please note: We are currently experiencing extreme winds, power outages and flooding. This will most likely effect the postal system and I expect delays.

1/6/26 Just received a bunch of mail that was from July & August. It looks like it was outside, in the dirt somewhere, so my guess is that a neighbor found it & put it in our mailbox. I'll be rating all the Swap Bot mail right away. I'm sorry for the delay. I hope that any missing mail is here.

***3/24/26 The Bad Gateway problems are getting very frequent here, on Swap Bot. It's very difficult to log in & mark swaps as sent, read/respond to messages, rate for swaps received in any kind of timely manner. I'm sorry for any delays this causes, I'm not sure what is going on. I wish they would fix the issue. I know that I'm not the only one affected. The site is becoming increasingly difficult to use.
