Postcrossing was my introduction to the world of internet mail swaps and I recently found Swap Bot, so glad I did, this looks super fun!

I keep chickens as well :)

I’m a huge music fan across genres.

I also quilt and sew from time to time!! Though most of April through September, I’ll be in the garden trying to keep the plants alive.

Books: Fantasy, Sci-fi, Horror, and some mystery. As a rule, books written by women/nonbinary authors, preferably LGBTQIAP+. Favorites include Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao, Road to Ruin by Hana Lee, Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon, The Fifth Season by NK Jemisin, A Song of Legends Lost by M.H. Ayinde, etc.

Gardening: I have a large backyard organic garden that is a mix of raised beds and other containers like grow bags, whiskey barrels, and two greenstalks. I have an in-ground native plant sun garden, fern shade garden, and a mushroom garden! I LOOOOOOVE flowers and bees, it’s amazing to watch all of the activity and life happening right in my backyard, just from keeping it organic and planting more native species and flowers. I turned my lawn to clover and the bees and chickens are obsessed. My favorite things to grow are kale, cabbage, lettuce and corn.

Herbalism: I’m taking an herbalism course, learning about different plants, their properties, and how they can nourish us/all else in many ways. Some of my favorite plants/herbs are Lemon Balm, Tulsi Basil, Sweet Annie (Wormwood), Chamomile, and Lavender. I also grow Marshmallow, Skullcap, Feverfew, Sage...

Photography: At the moment, I’m obsessed with Polaroid/Instax. I used to shoot film a lot but now just a little bit here and there. I love learning about alternative processes such as cyanotypes, but also the more eco-friendly processes as well. There is something with tumeric I need to try. Film soup is one of my favorite experimental photography processes as well.

I love swapping photographs, postcards, art prints, and zines (as long as they are SUPER SAFE FOR WORK) and seeing other perspectives across the planet.
