Firefly. And Castle, because of Nathan Fillion. Terra Nova has been pretty good so far. Not really a big TV watcher.
I used to read everything I touched. And then came iPods and I switched to audiobooks in the name of efficient time usage (actually I just like gadgets). I pre-ordered the latest Kindle in hopes of recovering some of that downtime. We'll see... I'll probably just re-watch Firefly and Torchwood and play Angry Birds.
Knitting (not crocheting). Dying and hand-painting yarn. Creating complex cloth. I make soap and jewlery. The latest thing to pique my interest is shadowfolds. I'm like a little arts & crafts monkey... Ooooo! Shiney!
We live in beautiful Sonoma, California. And I work for the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. We means: Parrots. Cats. Hubby. Yes, that is the correct order.
He's pretty OCD about the space we share. Me? I'm just a creative whirlwind - projects all over the place. I have an excuse, though. I have a pretty geeky job. I'm so mentally regimented that I need that external clutter for balance - that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
I'm pretty open to just about anything. When I buy yarn or dye, it's usually a blue or purple or yellow, but that my shortcoming. Oddly enough, my favorite color is baby-poo green (chartreuse). I don't look good in it, but I like it in my surroundings (and it goes great with aubergine). So don't be limited by my emotional affinity to blues, purples and yellows. If you can do something groovy with pink and orange, I'm there for you. I need a little help expanding my perspective.
Style-wise, I lean toward Asian. I collect kimono and a few papercuts. My best find was a temple rubbing at a thrift store for $1.50. It was pretty cool on it own, but framing turned it into an object that make it look like I have some real style. We all luck out once in a while.
The other end of the spectrum is skulls - not piratical, more like Dia de Los Muertos meets Frida Kahlo. My favorite piece of fabric is from Japan. It has skulls and looks like a yakuza tattoo. I thought it would make a cool messenger bag, but my sewing skills are pretty minimal.
Pears. Nice shape. Great use of color. Nasty tasting.

I was wondering if you were ever planning on sending out the package for Pamper My Pet Swap
Hi, I haven't received your parcel from the "Happy Happy Mail Teabags" swap yet and the deadline was nearly 3 weeks ago. I was just wondering if you knew what was going on.
