HI!!!! My name is Leah (a.k.a. The Fairy Of Lost Things). I am an artist from Columbus Ohio. I am 31 years old. I work for myself from home and I have a part time gig outside the house. I am starting a home based business that one day I hope it will become a brick and mortar retail location. I'm the chick people hand things and say "I know you can do something with this". I recycle almost EVERYTHING into crafts. Right now I'm in the process of making avocado skin candles and pickle jar lid belt buckles. I make t-shirt grocery bags because those reusable ones in the stores can't be properly washed. If you'd like one send me two shirts, one to make for sale and one to make for you and I'll happily send you a bag!
I am VERY proudly Pagan. I am a rockabilly chick (read 1940-50's style) but also pretty goth. (Goth-a-billy)
I play Vampire the Masquerade LARP (bit of a geek), D&D 3.0+, Fading Suns, and Shadow Run. I'm studying tribal belly dance. I'm (slowly) learning my tarot cards. Anything that you can tell me, show me, send me to help with that would be awesome!
I am a very eclectic person. I love music from Tori Amos, Johnny Cash, Rush, Patsy Cline, Kim Lenz, Gogol Bordello, VNV Nation, NIN, She Wants Revenge, Wolfsheim, The Decemberists, Natalie Merchant, Sarah McLaughlin, Loreena McKennitt , Clannad... the list goes on for a long time.
Darkly Dreaming Dexter, Mists Of Avalon, The Spiral Dance, In The Path of the Mother, Laurel K. Hamilton, Jacqueline Carey, Anthem by Aynn Rand.
Memoirs of a Geisha, The Artist's Guide, craft instruction books, Where the Wild Things Are, If You Give A Mouse A Cookie...
I love movies... lots of movies. The Princess Bride, Harry Potter, Golden Compass, Blood Diamond, Wall-E (I'm a sucker for some of the recent Disney releases), Usual Suspects, Sphere, Event Horizon, Saw 1-4, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Mists of Avalon, The Sword and the Sorcerer, Amelie
Deadwood, Dexter, Dr. Who, True Blood, CSI Vegas (with Grissom), Warehouse 13, Farscape, Firefly, Haven...
I like making ATC's and Postcards. I'm great with paper piecing for scrapbooks. I love building shrines. My most recent ones can be seen on my website. I knit, spin, sew, embroider, and quilt. I want to learn to weave on a loom. I also make jewelery and do bead weaving. I want to learn crafts that are slowly slipping out of general knowledge such as tatting and bobbin lace. Loosing these art forms to lack of people interested will be a horrible thing in my mind.
I LOVE getting stuff in the mail!
