UPDATE 7-24-2026: The last several months have been a whirlwind for me, and a lot has gone on. With this said, I have fallen behind significantly on rating swaps. I haven't even had the opportunity to open my mail over the last few weeks. I will do my best to get my swaps rated!
With how bad things are getting on Swap-Bot with errors, "bad gateway" messages, etc., I want to share another swap site that I've been a part of for some time that I really enjoy called Snail Mail Friends. Please check it out! You can also find me on other platforms, and they're linked in my Linktree. Just let me know what your SB username is if it's different. I will try to stay on SB for as long as I can until we get booted altogether, which I hope doesn't happen. ;_;
https://www.snailmailfriends.com
❗UPDATE 5/24/2026❗: I was rated for a swap recently and the user said that they would have been mad for a late postmark but weren't because of a profile-based extra I included...which is very disheartening. Swaps are meant to be fun and enjoyable, and a stress-free activity to spread love and joy, but behavior like this is what makes people leave this platform and even swapping/snail mail altogether. I shouldn't feel like I'm being micromanaged for a hobby. I recently received a swap that had 3 different postmarks with 3 different dates (didn't know that was even possible lol). In all of my years of swapping, postcrossing, and snail mail, postmarks are unreliable and are incorrect more times than not. USPS themselves even states that postmarks are not necessarily accurate to the date that an item was mailed, see this article: https://about.usps.com/newsroom/statements/010226-postmarking-myths-and-facts.htm. If I am mailing a swap out late for any reason, I will reach out to you to let you know.
So, the biggest takeaway is this: PLEASE DO NOT RATE BASED OFF OF POSTMARKS.
❗UPDATE 4/3/2026❗: There have been pretty significant delays in mail being delivered for both myself and for swaps I've sent out. Postmarks are not accurate, so please do not rate based off of the postmark. Also, I'm not sure if coming or going mail is being lost, so please reach out to me if you haven't received a swap. 💖

⋆˚࿔ about me 𝜗𝜚˚⋆
Hi there! My name is Katie, and I am a 32 y/o from Georgia, USA! My pronouns are she/her. My birthday is August 5th, which makes me a Leo! I've been part of Swap-Bot since 2019, but have been doing swaps, snail mail, and pen palling for over 16 years, now. I am currently a nurse educator for a college, and I am in school for my master's degree in nursing with a nursing education concentration! I graduate in August 2026. Nursing, the field of medicine, and education are a huge part of me and my life.
TW: Discussions about religion/spirituality - I was born and raised Catholic and still identify as such, but there are many aspects of my religion that I do not align or agree with. I also do not consider myself to be hyper-religious or a "bible thumper" as my mom calls them sometimes lol. I believe in God, Jesus, Mary, and the Saints, but also believe that the gods/goddesses of other religions and practices exist simultaneously. I say all of this to say that I am very open and accepting of your belief or non-belief, and I may discuss my beliefs with you, but only if you are comfortable. I am not one to shove my beliefs down your throat, and I ask that you respect me enough to do the same.
At the beginning of 2025, I was officially diagnosed with autism, in addition to my ADHD. I have learned that this combo is affectionately called "AuDHD." These conditions have a significant, negative impact on my life much of the time, causing problems like executive dysfunction, short-term memory issues, sensory overload, and rejection-sensitive dysphoria, to name a few. I bring this up here because I am asking for grace, patience, and understanding. I am one to send swaps on the last day, unfortunately, and I know that this is not ideal and I try to avoid this whenever possible. However, please know that I am not one to flake or send swaps late, but should something arise, I will always communicate with you first.
I love swapping, but am always looking for new pen pals! I'd love to have more pen friends that are less focused on the "goodies" aspect of snail mail and more focused on actually building a lasting friendship. If you are interested, my inbox is open! ଘ(੭◌ˊᵕˋ)੭* ੈ♡‧₊˚
My fiancée and I own two Husky babies, Kippy and Larka; a bearded dragon named Tad Cooper; and a Nanday conure named Gibbs, and I would love to eventually add more scaly babies to our rambunctious group. >⩊<
My other hobbies and interests include spending time with my fiancée and our pets, playing video games, watching YouTube and sometimes anime, paper crafting, junk journaling, drawing, and of course, snail mail!

- Spirituality - I firmly believe in the existence of spirit guides, deceased loved ones sending signs, etc.
- Tarot cards - I have a high respect for tarot cards and use them on-and-off for guidance and to be read to filth, not necessarily for predicting the future

⋆˚࿔ wishlist 𝜗𝜚˚⋆
If we are in a profile-based swap, this wishlist can help you narrow down things to send me! With that said, please do not feel obligated to send items from this list. These are just suggestions, and I am blessed to receive whatever you are willing to send me.
- New pen pals - please be patient, though, as it can take a long time for me to reply

- Mail art - even if you are sending a small swap, mail art is greatly appreciated

- Nurse or medical-related ephemera, stickers, etc.

⋆˚࿔ do not send list 𝜗𝜚˚⋆
These are items that I would prefer not to receive if it can be avoided. Please know, though, that I am not a stickler whatsoever and will be happy with almost anything that you send! If it's something that I can't use, it will be lovingly rehomed or repurposed. I do my best not to be picky, because I know everyone is doing their best with what they have and sometimes you can't help what you send, especially if you're following swap instructions. Plus, I would never want someone to over-extend themselves beyond their means for the sake of a swap that's meant to be fun and stress-free. However, items that are bolded are a HARD do not send and will lead to a negative rating (and, depending on the offense, being blocked and reported):
- Stickers from those vinyl/waterproof bulk packs from Amazon, Temu, Aliexpress, etc. (you know the ones) - I'm very picky about the ones I like from packs like these, so I would just avoid sending them if you can
- Ephemera that has that "vintage" or "antique" label (excluding what I listed above) - personally not a fan of the aesthetic but I understand the appeal!
- Gnomes - just don't care for them lol
- Journal cards - I have so many of these and nowhere to put them lol
- Journal stickers - I can't use these and nobody else really can either
- Loose tea bags - I've gotten these before and do not feel comfortable using them, so I just end up throwing them away and I hate to be wasteful ☹️
- Teacher/reward stickers - also can't use these and no one else wants them
- Beauty items (face masks, under-eye patches, etc.) - I appreciate the sentiment but I have sensitive skin and would rather not test the waters
- "Toxic positivity" quotes - think of phrases like "everything will be okay," "good vibes only," etc. I know they may work for others, but as someone with depression and anxiety, they don't for me and I can't stand them. For some examples, here is an article from Parade: https://parade.com/living/toxic-positivity-phrases and for more info on why it's called "toxic positivity," check out this article from EBSCO: https://www.ebsco.com/research-starters/psychology/toxic-positivity
- Anything dark/scary/etc. - just not my preference
- Holiday-specific ephemera or stickers (Halloween, Valentine's Day, etc.; excluding what I listed above)
- Certain types of insects (wasps, spiders, flies, etc.) - if it would have a "creepy crawly" label, I don't like it
- Satanic-related items - I respect and support you if you are a part of this religion, but I would not like to receive related items in the mail
- Anything religious or hyper-religious - please do not shove your religion, beliefs, etc. down my throat. This rule excludes religion-based swaps (e.g. Bible study swaps, Easter swaps, etc.).
- Political items/statements
- Anything racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, anti-LGBTQ+, or anything else discriminatory/prejudice/generally hateful

⋆˚࿔ in closing... 𝜗𝜚˚⋆
Thank you for taking the time to read through my profile! If there is anything I forgot to add or include, I'll be sure to fix it. I love any mail I receive. Even if you only have enough energy to send the bare minimum, I am thankful and so appreciative for you using that energy to send me something. It means more than words can say.
Happy Swapping! ૮₍˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ₎ა
