Fiona, I received a package of Christmas die cuts that were on my Amazon wish list, I believe that they might be from you for the Amazon Wish List RAK... There wasn't a note inside, so I can't be sure-but I didn't order them and am not in any wish lists on the Bot this month. Ok, I will have to noodle (heh, noodle) on my best mac and cheese recipe and write out a reasonable version of the recipe for you. It's an oven baked one and very good. I did fiddle around with a different, microwavable recipe last night- it only took me 15 minutes to make, including boiling the noodles!
Lazy Man's Mac & Cheese
Boil noodles. (2 handfuls) You can do this in the microwave but honestly it's probably faster to just do it in a pot.
Put your drained noodles in a microwave safe bowl
Add enough milk to cover about halfway, about 3/4th a teaspoon of cornstarch, a generous pile of shredded cheese (co-jack is always a good choice) salt and pepper to taste. (optional: add in part of a cooked yam or squash) stir these ingredients well.
Microwave for about 2-3 minutes.
BAM. It's cheesy. It's gooey. It's Macaroni and you dirtied like one dish.
Also, you can see I do not use recipes. Or measuring cups. It only dirties more dishes Oh, and I used farfalle noodles because macaroni noodles are the devil's elbows. But whatever.
