Hi!
I'm Frances from the Philippines. I love snail mail and seeing real handwritting from people all over the world :)
I collect postcards and like to see the different stamps of other countries as well. I like them naked too, it's too hot here for an envie haha! :p My favorite postcards are the sketched types. I also enjoy receiving black and white and vintage cards. Funny postcards and postcards from illustrators also makes me smile :)
I am one of those crazy people who bungee jumped and sky dived and want to do them again! :)
I am not allergic to anything other than dust and I don't think anyone's gonna send that :p
My hobbies are travelling, eating, watching movies, reading and photography. I try to visit a new place once or twice a year and I take workshops at least once a year to expand my horizons as well. This year I took up fancy jewelry making :)
I have 20 dogs at home (i know!! soooo many) they make wonderful company :)
I am so excited to join this community! :)
Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns, both bu Khalen Hosseini. These books touched my heart and made me cry.
I found the book Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin very inspiring and eye opening.
I also loved The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, told from the point of view of Death. Emotionally stirring. His way of writing is catchy too.
The book that I read most recently is Mornings in Jenin by Susan Abulhawa. I love her style and the story she told, it was an emotional roller coaster.
Books by Paulo Coehlo are always good reads as well.
For times when I want light reading, I read the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series by Jeff Kinney never fails to make me laugh! Sometimes I read my sister's romance novels too (this is true especially when it is raining)
I love tinkering with things, that is why even if I always promise myself to stay away from clutter, it always finds its way to me.
I love colorful pens and cute stickers. And lately, I've been playing with beads and turning them into fancy necklaces and I sell them or give them as gifts :)
I've also got myself some nice colorful fabrics which I turn into pants for my mom :) I don't sew them myself though :p
I also love putting together jigsaw puzzles, for this year I've finished 9 1,000pcs puzzles :) I did 4 of Normal Rockwell's art and 5 by Charles Fazzino :)
Eversince I was a kid, I've always loved The Sound of Music, I still have all the songs on my Ipod :) I don't think I will ever ever tire of that movie.
The most recent movie that I've seen is Inception, and I love it because the ending makes you question whether you understood the movie or not haha! I love unpredictable movies like The Prestige, and Shutter Island.
I also love cartoons!! Disney and Pixar movies make my day. I also love shorts that are shown before the real movie :)
I also cry easily, I cried loads watching My Sister's Keeper and The Bucket List and also "Moment to Remembe" (this is a Korean movie with English subtitles - i watched this 4 times and cried everytime, I think I finished a whole box of tissue put together!)
I also love Avatar coz of the message it sends :)
Action flicks are must sees too! I think I watch almost all genres except horror (which I still sometimes do when I get mental lapses and I sit there hiding wondering why I subject myself to this kind of torture)
I'm not much of a TV fan, but I do indulge myself in watching TV series (once they come out on DVD - I just cannot stand the waiting for what's gonna happen next on a daily basis haha)
I also love watching my dogs run around and play :p and the beach and nature always relaxes the eyes and mind :)
To my future partners in mail, the snail is usually extra slow here in the Philippines so please be patient (I am trying too :p) It usually takes almost a month for cards to reach me but do not worry, I rate as soon as I get the cards :)

Thanks for sending my card back to me! I hope that your move goes smoothly and that you get to visit everywhere in the world someday :)
How amazing that we received on the same exact day!
Thanks so much for the lovely card of the Philippines! Did you receive the Ringling card from me yet?
Just wanted to know if you got my PC for the Quickie PC swap #2?
Good Morning! I'm your partner for 'read my profile'. You know, I had never thought of downloading the Sound of Music soundtrack to my Itouch, but I'm thinking I need to ... and I might as well had Grease to it.
I'm such a sucker for sappy movies & bookies. I can cry watching just about anything.
20 dogs! Four dogs make me crazy at times -- I can't imagine 20. Our dogs walk with me and since we live on a ranch, I don't have to worry about leashes and collars, so that is a good thing.
I'm going to have to try reading the Diary of the Wimpy Kid. I like to put books on my ITouch to listen to when I'm traveling for work, walking or cleaning the house.
Like you I try to stay away from clutter, but I'm thinking I'm a magnet for it! ;-)
Have a wonderful day.
Bless ~ Suzy
Hi, I'm also your partner in "read my profile" which I thoroughly enjoyed reading. I've done paradiving but couldn't face a bungee. Must be a wimp! I cried all the way through My Sister's Keeper too - they should have a sign that says don't wear any eyemakeup to this movie! I'm a cat person and when we lived in New Zealand we had 4. I can't imagine living with 20 dogs - that must take up all your spare time caring for them. Are they little house dogs or big outside ones or a mixture? I've been in Swap-bot 2 months and I love it. I hope to enjoy it too.
Hello! I am your partner for "read my profile", Wow 20 dogs!?!. That is a lot but I bet you get a ton of love though. I also enjoy Disney and Pixar movies . I love Monsters INC. We have tons in common. welcome to swap-bot. I have only been on it a short time, but I love it. Have an awesome day and thanx for sharing your profile :) -Manda
