I am 26 and work as a freelance translator who works from home and dreams about spending more time outside. Being in your PJs all day long sounds cool, but trust me, most of the time it isn't. I got married in August 2010 and live with my husband the urban gardener and a few houseplants by the Mediterranean Sea, in Spain. Our wedding stationery featured a tandem bike, so I love everything having to do with tandems: stationery, necklaces, prints... We're making big efforts to be greener at home
Oh, and I have a small collection of bookmarks form all over the world, and as of now I don't know anyone else with one! I think that's weird, but who knows, maybe I'm the weirdo ;)
I am girlie. I wear earrings, headbands, hairpins, brooches, necklaces, scarves, bracelets (tiny wrist!) and rings (US size 4.5/5, about 15.5mm diameter) ALL THE TIME. I love vintage and handmade stuff.
I'm always cold, so I don't think I'll ever have enough socks, hand warmers, hats, gloves, etc. Although my German husband who could live naked in the snow disagrees ;)
I'd LOVE to find a couple of penpals who are about my age and share interests with me. So if you'd like to, just send me a message with your address and I'll get to it!
I'm a newbie here and I really don't want to disappoint or make any mistakes (I'm not so sure I'm doing this profile thing right!) but I'll try to do my best, I promise :)
I love crocheting and sewing and hairpins making, so I'd loooove to swap some ribbon/yarn/buttons etc. Also, photography and cooking/baking are major interests of mine. I'd love to meet people who share my hobbys! When I went to NYC on my honeymoon I can't tell you how much money I spent on bowls, measuring cups, napkins, etc. The woman at the Anthropologie counter looked at me like I was some sort of freak, I promise.
I'd spend my salary on pencils, pens, notepads, post-its and whatever you can justify having on your desk... like chapstick :D
I'm up for swapping tea, coffee, candy etc. I love it all! I have a huge PB addiction. Here in Spain you can't buy anything even similar to Reese's pb cups, so at the airport on our way back from our Honeymoon... I bought 6lbs of miniatures. And believe it or not, I've made a dent on my stash!
I have quite the collection of teabags, so be sure it's possible that you'll get one sooner or later. :D
Everything and anything that brings a smile to my face, uplifting music ranging from Queen to Glee's covers to "500 days of summer" OST.
I read The Neverending Story when I was 7, so yeah, I'm a bookworm. I love the classics and all novels. I'm not so much into self-improving books, I'd rather read about those subjects online because then you get the bonus of commenter's feedback!
I'm having a really hard time trying to come up with "favorite" books, I think I'll leave it here and come back with more inspiration :)
I'm not much into kawaii, but I think a bit can be very cute.
Animals... it's not that I don't like animals, but I'm not into cat/dog themed things... Let's see if I can be clear... Not this (http://bit.ly/ehlSvP) But yes this (http://etsy.me/dY5toI) It's not the choice of animal, it's the style.
Fairies.
Things I can't get in Spain, like spices, kitchen utensils (ie here it's hard to find pretty cookie cutters, cheesecloth -i know-, cute muffin liners, pretty napkins...), snacks, things about local traditions from elsewhere, postcards...
Also I like anything I can actually put to use, such as all of the above, stationery, ribbon...
Pencils, pens, sharpies...
Scarves, hairbands, socks, gloves, hats...
Vintage linens, spoons, bowls...
Bracelets, earrings...
I watch way too much TV, but not mindlessly. With that I mean that I follow many tv series, but I never sit down in front of the thing and just let time go. I watch:
-House -Grey's Anatomy -Bones -Glee -Leverage -Raising Hope -Modern Family -The Big Bang Theory -How I Met Your Mother -The Mentalist -NCIS and NCIS LA
Oh and my all-time favorite, the series that made me want to learn English, Gilmore Girls. I have watched the whole thing over and over a hundred times. Actually, my husband bought me the DVDs as one of my wedding presents. I know. I'm spoiled rotten.
