My name is Lindsay, I'm coming back to Swap-Bot after about a 2 year hiatus. I was a huge fan back then and realized I missed it terribly!
I'm a 29 year old artsy fartsy type. I have always been interested in crafts and anything creative or art related! I live in Burlington ,Vermont located right on Lake Champlain in New England!
I live with my boyfriend Ken. We are both a bit nerdy and like to play PC games and sometimes MTG.
Just as a note on my 1 rating. I have been in contact with the person (after years! how fortunate!) And am in the process of making it up to her.
I love all music a little bit of every genre. I don't usually adhere myself to one genre just to songs and artists that I enjoy.
Classical, punk rock, classic rock, techno, country, hip hop, indie, folk, bluegrass, metal. I like it all!
I love books about science, biology and genetics especially. I'm also very into reading about pretty much anything occult like, paranormal or all around strange. Non fiction is really where my reading preferences tend to live. I love science, psychology, philosophy, creativity and self improvement.
I can always gobble up a good murder mystery/thriller/romance
I am down for most any good read.
I watch a lot of different kinds of stuff, mostly documentary style reality (not gameshow style though I do like me some Project Runway)
If I'm going to get all fan girly about a TV show it'd probably be from Supernatural.
I love most all crafts! Lately my focus has been on art journaling/mixed media work, scrapbooking and graphic art (I'm teaching myself) I've also really gotten into different happy mail type crafts (pocket letters/flip books/loaded envelopes or bags etc)
Crafts I do
- Scrapbooking
- Card making
- Watercoloring
- Ink drawing
- Jewelry making (I make copper metal jewelery)
- Journaling/Journal making
I absolutely love handmade crafts, making and receiving. 9 times out of 10 I would rather get something hand made with thought put into it than brand new items.
I've recently gotten back into pen palling after years and I am loving it. Always up for new pen friends from anywhere.
I'm also interested in dabbling with deco books (they are like small traveling art journals! awesome) and zines.
Crafty related
First of all let me say I am a BIG fan of the destash. I love used stuff in decent condition and I can always find a use for a scraps and I think its a great way to try things without buying a whole lot. I'm not the type that looks down on non new items and would happily take anything you've got no use for anymore. Including but not limited to:
Colors/Motifs
* Currently my favorite colors are navy blue, light gray and gold metallic. I love purple and teal/aqua as well as mustard yellow and pink! I love all the colors honestly! If I had to choose a least favorite color it'd probably be brown or red but even then I am not picky!
* Things with my name on them (LINDSAY)
* Animals! Cute little baby ones, large majestic ones and colorful exotic ones!
* Hearts and stars
* Dragonflies/Butterflies/Moths/Bees
* Fairy tales(Brothers Grimm)/folk tales. Especially Alice in Wonderland (not the Disney Version though!)
* Quotes/sayings
* Galaxy/Space
* Astrology/Constellations (Particularly Capricorn)
* Anything occult like (divination/fortune telling/pagan etc)
* I'm also particularly fond of hand drawn/painted art in any theme!
When it comes to sweets
* Dark chocolate!!
I'm ALSO collecting bits of advice/life lessons/inspirational words of wisdom from as many people as I can to create a sort of positive thinking journal for myself so I would absolutely love to hear anything similar to the above from you if you'd be willing to share
**Always willing to do private swaps
While I am literally over the moon to receive anything in swaps there are some things I don't need or use and while you can feel free to send these things along anyway I may rehome or regift them.
I'm currently not doing fiber crafts so any yarn or string or thread isn't really going to be used by me *ribbon and lace is fine)
I also don't participate in friendship books or decos and am not great at forwarding them in a timely fashion so they may not be a great idea.
When it comes to scrapbooking and papercrafting stuff I try to make my stash work in as many ways as possible so I tend to never use things for specific events or holidays (though it's not out of question just a preference) think: snowflake motifs opposed to santa or flower motifs as opposed to easter eggs. That kind of thing.
I also have no use for kiddie stickers or cartoon like stuff and I don't really have anybody to give them to!
Again, don't stress, thought is all that matters. Thanks so much for reading and I look forward to swapping with you!
I will always send a swap out and will let you know if it's going to be late. In the past parcels have gotten jammed up at the post office and haven't sent out the day that I actually mail them. If you haven't received something in a timely manner from me please send me a message and I will do whatever I can to resend or resolve the situation!

Always good to make it up so you don't receive a one rating. Wow: since 2009? However, I will approve you to join our stupendously wonderful group called 9 Little Pockets.

'm just writing you a note to let you know that I'm hosting an email swap over at WickedSwaps. It's an email question and answer swap that's probably a bit too risque for Swap-Bot's general population. You can check it out here:
