Hi, My name is Jamie and I am a University student studying in Maine! I like to do a lot of outdoorsy things like hiking, camping, climbing, skiing, etc. I also like to read books, especially science fiction. I also enjoy painting and sketching when I’m in the mood.

I enjoy gardening and plants too. My favorite flower are zinnias! I'm always trying to learn new plant species, so I would love to receive any pressed leaves/flowers, book excerpts, etc. Also I would be thrilled to receive any seeds as long as they are not invasive to New England, USA!

I love fish and fishing, My favorite fish are trout! My favorite animal is probably a giraffe. Dinosaurs are cool too though. Oh and my favorite colors are orange, green, and blue.

I listen to a lot of alternative rock music. Some of my favorite artists include Florence and the Machine, Panic! at the Disco, Twenty-One Pilots, George Ezra, Jack Johnson, Alabama Shakes, and AJR.

I do enjoy reading, as mentioned above, I really like science fiction books. The Divergent series is probably my favorite, but some others I really enjoyed are "The 5th Wave", "Highly Illogical Behavior" by John Corey Whaley, "The program" by Suzanna Young, "Ender's Game", and "The Book Thief".

For Movies, I really like action movies. Indiana Jones is my favorite series of all time, but Jurassic park, Predator, and Alien series are all really good too. Taking a complete 180 from that, I also really enjoy Disney movies. I really like the new live action "Maleficent" that came out in 2012 I think? So I guess it's not really "new" any more but I thought Angelina Jolie was super good in that movie! My favorite Disney classic is Robin Hood, but the Emperor's New Groove is a close 2nd. Alice in wonderland, Oliver and company, Peter Pan, Pinocchio, honestly I would be elated to receive anything related to Disney. I don't think there is a Disney movie I don't like! Also, I love horror movies too. Annabelle is probably my favorite horror movie.

I don't watch a ton of TV, but the shows I have watched that I really enjoy include SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, The 100, Zoo, Riverdale, Stranger Things, Game of Thrones (I'm still on season 4 so no spoilers!), Naked and Afraid, and Survivor.

I do like watching vines/other funny viral videos, so if you make references to them, I'd probably get a kick out of it.

My favorite crafts as mentioned above are painting and sketching. I love to paint landscapes. I have only used acrylic, but I would love to try oil paints eventually. Sketching Is what I normally do if I'm doing a portrait, but I like landscapes better, so I usually stick to painting! I love experimenting with new mediums and types of art too! Recently I've gotten into snail mail so I am excited to start swapping!

Maybe some other things I should mention: - I'm not allergic to anything, so that's good! - I'm not much of a tea drinker - I'm not really religious at all - I like reading jokes! I would love to receive riddles too :) - I am more interested in receiving homemade cards, art, etc. I love seeing people's talent!

I'm not looking for a pen pal at the moment, I just joined swap-bot to send out snail mail when I'm feeling crafty and have the time! So please don't be offended if I do not respond! But If I sign up for a swap, I will put my heart into it!
