Hello Swappers!
I'm a 22 year old lady from Augusta, Georgia, (USA).
I'm a junior in college, and I'm getting my degree in Middle Grades Education (4th-8th). I'm engaged to a wonderful man named Jason, and he and I are getting married March 27th of 2010. He's also in school, but he wants to teach high school biology.
There are three things in my life that mean the most to me, and that is my fiancé, cats, and traveling. I'm not the most traveled person, but I am working on it. I've been to 17 states, and have been outside of the U.S. once to the Bahamas (if you consider that outside the U.S.). For our honeymoon, we're traveling to Belize, Honduras, Mexico, and the Grand Cayman Islands. My fiancé has the travel bug, too, and when we're done with college, we want to travel all over before we buy a house and have children. I have 2 cats (although we have another one that is 'adopting' us), and I'll probably be one of those crazy cat ladies when I'm old. I'm allergic to them, and have asthma so it's slightly difficult, but one day I hope to save many more.
Other than my future husband, felines, and traveling I'm a fun girl who loves a good adventure, and will do anything as long as it's legal...well, mostly legal. :)
I love all kinds of music, with one exception - emo/screamo. My favorite kind of music would have to be Old Jazz (Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, etc.). My other favorite type of music would be New Age. My favorite musicians are Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, P.J. Harvey, and Depeche Mode. I like some country, but I've already discovered all I wish to in terms of country (especially modern day country....). I also listen to Top 40 although it mostly sucks. Haha. I can shake and groove to just about anything.
The Great Gatsby, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, 1776, The Color Purple, Benny & Joon, The Truth About Cats and Dogs, Gone With the Wind, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Interview of a Vampire, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, The Graduate, Battle Royale, Say Anything, Goodfellas, Darjeeling Limited, etc.
Sex and the City (the show, NOT the movie!), Queer as Folk, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Flight of the Conchords, Big Love, East Bound & Down, ALF, Ebichu, In Treatment, etc.
Just to name a few..... art education, aquariums, badminton, baking, ballroom dancing, birds, California, cake decorating, carnivorous plants, cats, coffee, crocheting, culture, drawing, elephants, feminism, fishing (throwing them back!), frisbee golf, Greece, Greek food, Hello Kitty, India, Indian food, Japan, Japanese food, Judaism, liberal politics, lovebirds, loosing weight, middle grades education, Mojitos, Olivia the Pig, painting, peacocks, pigs, photography, postcards, planning my wedding, quirky things from the South, religious studies, roses, San Francisco, Sanrio, San X, scrap booking, Southern literature, swimming, tea, tennis, vegetarianism, Thailand, Thai food, Vietnamese food
Anything home made, postcards, Reese's anything, bento box supplies, mixed CD's, anything Japanese/Asian, Sanrio, Hello Kitty, recipes, anything having to do with cats, pigs, and elephants, crochet patterns, amigurumi, earrings, local goodies from where you live, picture frames, and religious objects (*see below)
I am not a religious person, but I like receiving religious trinkets, except (and I don't mean to offend!) I grew up my entire life in a Southern Baptist home, so I am familiar with all things Protestant. When I say “religious objectsâ€, I mean like, Catholic Saint pendants, Hindu statues, Buddha statutes, etc.
Other than that: Country music, Precious Moments, Things that smell like vanilla, Bookmarks – I like them, but I already have so many!, Stuffed Animals – (not including amigurumi or anything home made!) The problem is, I love them! But I have wayyyy toooo many of them! My future husband has forbade me from having anymore stuffed animals! Haha
I always send, and I always rate. I will usually always give a heart as long as I received it on time, because I feel that's what everyone deserves who at least sends something. I realize that life happens, so please don't hesitate about contacting me if anything is going to be late. I promise I won't reply with snarky-ness, unless that's what I'm given first.
