Hi, my name is Mardi and I am 44. I live in the great state of Texas with my hubby Jim and our 2 cats, Clarence and Oscar...and one dog, Misty. I love gardening, canning, cooking, collecting cookbooks/recipes, most any type of sewing/hand stitching. Hubby and I also travel a bit...LOVE that! Usually like funny movies, ones with a happy/sappy ending, I want to be smiling when it's over! Music taste is all over the board...anything but rap! Right now I'm listening to a compilation CD 'Crooners', old Dino and Sinatra songs...before that was Harry Connick Jrs Christmas CD, and before that Nora Jones. Also like books that make me smile/laugh...kind of into British chic lit right now, but also will never turn down a cozy mystery...nothing gory. I have been married to Jim, (my fab hubby!) for 27 years. We have 2 grown sons, our oldest lives here in Texas not far from us, 26 yrs old, single, and looking to buy his first home!...our youngest is 25 and lives in AZ (where we lived before!) with his wife and their 2 daughters (1 & 2yrs!) with a new one on the way in March. He is a youth pastor, working on his masters degree in Theology/Divinity. So yes...that makes me a NANA!!! Okay...believe I'm rambling....if I've left anything out, let me know!

Okay...since I have joined a couple of swaps that include hot beverages...

I like most any tea ~ just no licorice flavors!! Coffee is fab....like it really dark and black...no sweeteners!! Hot chocolate, hot lemonaide, hot cider...all are yummy. Ohh! So is hot mulled wine!!

LOVE sweets... Chocolate is my friend! Especially dark chocolate. Milk chocolate doesn't do much for me...but I pass it along to my son! Also really like things that are both sweet and sour....but not grape...bad experience early in life...too long, just don't go there! Again, really easy to please, just no grape, and ditto with licorice.
