If you hear the old nursery rhyme, "Mary, Mary, quite contrary....." that fits. I'm serious, but silly. I advocate fitness, but weigh far too much. I want my kids to have fun, but still be responsible. I love to read, but don't enjoy sitting still for long periods of time.
I work so I can play. There are a large number of people who think that everyone should live for work. Not so.....work is supposed to make your life better not consume it!
Rock, country, bluegrass, classical, pop, Techno, showtunes (depends on what show)
Lots of different styles, just don't make me listen to commercials! I want music!
Currently, my fave hobbies are scrapbooking, photography, reading, movies
Since buying our house four years ago, we've replanted junipers, hostas, re done the front flower bed. We added a flower bed to the side of the house. This year, we're turning a small strip of grass into another flower bed. (Saves on what we have to cut. I had to get out the small mower just to do that small strip of grass - ugh)
While my husband is building a wishing well to go over the well cover, I'll be working on planting that flower bed. We have two rose bushes, three crepe myrtles, and three containers that will hold zinnias, daisies, and marigolds.
Just finished laying the railroad timber border and spreading mulch in the new flower bed. We've got the crepe myrtles and the roses in the ground. Once the last frost hits, I'll plant in the containers. Hubby has the bottom half of the well done, and is working on the cedar shingled roof. . . it's wayyyy bigger than I thought it would be, but it will be so cool when it's done. I'll have to add a pic.
Reading has been a passion since I was a kid. I could escape to a faraway place and read about new things....or visit an old friend if it's a book I've read before. Favorite books include:
Wister's The Virginian Little Women by Louisa May Alcott The Foot Book by Dr. Seuss Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris Cat N Bones series by Jeanine Frost ANYTHING by Laurell K Hamillton Tolkien's Lord of the Rings Three Women by Anne McCaffrey Any Dragonrider of Pern by Anne McCaffrey The Crystal Singer Trilogy by Anne McCaffrey Robert Frost poetry Hannah Swensen mysteries by Joanne Fluke Dirk Pitt series by Clive Cussler Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich Amelia Peabody mysteries by Elizabeth Peters Barbara Michaels mystery/suspense Twin of Fire by Jude Deveraux Twin of Ice by Jude Deveraux James Bond books by Ian Fleming
Star Wars, Serenity, That Old Feeling, Holiday Inn, Fellowship of the Ring series, Star Trek I - IV, Tron and Tron Legacy, well...pretty much any Disney film and just about any comic book film.
Movies take you to a whole new world, where you can forget about everything for a bit and be entertained.

Hi! I'm here from "Read Profile-Write Comment"! I loved reading your profile because we have a lot in common! I totally agree that your work should make your life better :) That's what I strive for when I go about daily life. I also thought it was cool that you like showtunes and reading, both of which I adore! Delightful! :) Best wishes -Sorella
I love reading! Always looking for new books to read. You have some that sound interesting, ill have to check them out. I love gardening and so does my son. Were we live the plants don't grow, so when we move we have to make sure we can garden. I too would love to see your garden. Flowers are wonderful and I see them as puck me ups. :) I'm into some of those movies as well. StarWars is my childhood!
Hi, I'm your partner for 'read profile-write comment'. How is your flower bed? A picture would be great! I love flowers but I really don't like to work in the garden. Reading is a passion for me too since a was a little child. When reading I don't have a problem with sitting still especially when I can sit outside in the sun... Summer may come now! Have a nice day!
Stumbled upon your profile - love your introduction! I too cannot sit still for long periods of time - but I do love to read - go figure!
