Arts & crafts I’m into are journals, pages from old books including illustrated flowers and plants, washi tape, wrapping paper, home made paper, yarn, tissue, packaging, found objects, and more.

About Me
Our life is art. Our life is our expression. And we shouldn’t hold onto it too tightly. Like a clutch.
Fly freely. Learn to fly. To swim. To dance. To sing. Just start.
Used to be such a critic. But now that I actually make things, and sadly didn’t really start until I was about 35 years old and not really crafting until I turned 50 years old well now I embrace everything. My first husband taught me that art is perspective and my preferences are not the same as other people but I’m ok with being different and figuring out what my perspective is.
On my music choices I love to try new genres or new music and do not shy away from experimenting. And often I go back to old favorites. And that’s ok too.
My Mom taught me to explore even in my own hometown. She would get so excited about being a tourist even at home!
My husband Carl cherishes me and reminds me to love myself as I’ve often hated myself and not been kind to myself and that’s probably why I was so harsh to other people in my past too. It’s all learning.
Dementia comes early in our family and I fully expect to forget everything I’ve learned. And even that I try to forgive and let go. Hopefully it will be gracious and not too hard. We are preparing so that the transition will not be difficult on each other or on our children.
Trying to downsize or release some of the things I cling to but it’s hard. Little by little, if I can practice one book at a time or one craft supply at a time then it will add up over the next years!
