10/23/25 - Bad Gateway errors are happening so often, I might get 10 in an hour. I posted about this on my NB-SB blog.

I am not hosting after early November. At the end of November, I am leaving Swap-bot.

I met a lot of cool people and I hope I get to keep in touch! Please TALK to each other! Save each other's profiles as HTML, get contact info and save it in your email contacts, whatever. Just because a site is breaking doesn't mean our sense of community has to go with it!

The 503 Bad Gateway errors can mean that Swap-bot's servers are out of date, can't handle the unbelievable amount of traffic that bots bring (much less users) or both. Likely both.

The less security, the more bots. The more bots, the less access to the site for real people. The original owners don't have to do anything- we will see ourselves out, and then they don't have to pay for this website anymore.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put a DATE on any notes or letters! The postmark on the envelope isn't always clear or isn't when that item was actually written.

Please no dog hair, cigarette smells, or strong perfumes. I tend to get migraines and don't have a washing machine, so it could take 2 weeks to hot wash something properly.

• Hand sewing basic items. I try to use natural fabrics only, including scraps larger than 2x2" for sewing.

• Papercrafts like art journalling, scrapbooking, and some bullet journal/art journal hybrid work for daily use.

• Embroidery or sashiko

I blog just to post FAQs about my swaps, USPS, tracking, etc. I also now post about non-SB sites, like SwapStickers.club .

Please check the link before asking about lost things, swap requirements, why I don't just go off ratings before banning someone, etc.
