******I have recently participated in a few international swaps and failed miserably with postage issues and weight. This has been a great new adventure meeting some amazing people all over the US and some international, but it has also been a learning experience with the great postal system. If you have not received my swap within the two week period, please, please, please message me and I will resend within a couple of days. Thank you all for bringing so much sunshine in my world. ******
Just a literary lady doing life with my best friend, aka hubby. The hubby and I share a love for writing and publishing.
We are in the beginning stages of an off-grid living and self-sufficiency lifestyle in the mountains. I enjoy tending to our farm animals and garden. I have recently began the adventure of learning all about tea, herbs, and medicinal purposes of natural resources. Always ready for recipes, suggestions and tips.
I am on a search for a mini camper to “glamp-up” and turn into a glamper for weekend excursions. I LOVE all vintage camper decor, notepads, stickers, mugs, books, articles, photos, etc. I am always in need of inspiration.
I am an avid reader. We have begun compiling books and vintage furnishings for our family library which is a separate 800 sq ft building on our property. Thrift stores, Goodwill, and yard sales are my cardio. The hubby collects the unusual and I go for the classics. I am currently working on expanding my Jane Austen collection. Our free time is usually with a book in hand on the front porch during the evening hours.
I am always open for reading suggestions and reviews ... as well as trade.
In addition to the my collection of books, I also enjoy bookmarks, literary mugs, gem-topped pens, journals, small notebooks, and planner supplies. Recently discovered washi tape and quickly became an addict.
My favorite colors are those found in rainbow sherbet plus a sunshine yellow. Muted and dark colors are loathed.
I prefer loose tea and anything and everything lemon flavored. Honey is also a favorite of mine and I enjoy trying the variety of flavors.
If I am writing, I am usually writing in colors besides the basic black and blue. I tend to use too much pink ink followed by a shade of green or purple.
Flamingos are my newest discovery for the office. Bold colors and floral also occupy my office and creative spaces. Though the hubby disagrees wholeheartedly, a girl never have enough mugs. And yes, I am one of "those people" who are still on the Rae Dunn mug hoarder train. I prefer words on my dishes and walls.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and autumn my favorite time of year. Christmas is a close second. Summers are tolerated.
Items I would LIKE to receive include bookmarks (always), journaling cards, wash samples, planner items, felt paperclips, prayer cards, anything vintage related, a copy of your favorite recipe, newspaper or magazine clippings about home, gardening, tea or off-grid living, book lists.
Prefer NOT to receive: Things I am not a fan of are POSTCARDS (unless of course it’s a postcard swap), licorice, Disney (I do like vintage Mickey and Minnie), Kawaii stationery, reward/tiny stickers, bagged tea, and dark - muted colors. I also do not wear jewelry other than my wedding set.
I am open to making new friends and having pen pals. The PO Box can use some happiness besides the monthly bills.
Currently I am a Netflix junkie. I am just now watching Greys Anatomy. I am way too old for some of my recent binges, but I did enjoy Gilmore Girls, Gossip Girls, and Hart in Dixie.
I also enjoy crime related shows and watch superhero pics with the hubs. And during a casual night of dinner in the recliners, we run through a couple of episodes of Friends. (For the 47th time)
I enjoy all genres of literature. I don’t believe in just having one copy of a favorite work. I am always on the lookout for various prints of any Jane Austen works as well as the Bronte sisters. Classics are always a plus when at a thrift store and Goodwill.
I also enjoy all Nicholas Sparks novels and I still have a love for John Grisham, though some of his works of late do not compare to his first pieces.
With the hubs as a published author of several genres, we continue to expand our collection of books each week for inspiration.
