I'm a twentysomething German girl, now living in the UK and working in events.
I've been vegan and active in AR for three years, but am not evangelical about it- though I love to cook and show people vegan food isn't boring.
I love music, going to gigs, the theatre and arts exhibitions, history, traveling, a good chat over a pint or glass of red wine, writing, blogging and much more.
I lack the patience for most crafts. However, I write frequently and sometimes even paint!
I like making zines and am a foodie obsessed with making bento. themselves, though.
mostly punk stuff, especially ska and hardcore, but basically I like everything with good lyrics and played by real people on real instruments.
Favourites include Anti-Flag, Streetlight Manifesto, Ani di Franco, Dar Williams, NOFX, Jarvic Cocker, Less than Jake, Bright Eyes, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, Goldfinger, Goo Goo Dolls...
Anais Nin, Sarah Waters, E.A. Poe and other gothic classics, vampire novels (but not Twilight!), Banana Yoshimoto, Haruki Murakami... I read a lot.
Some of my favourite books are "A home at the end of the world" by Michael Cunningham, "N.P." by Banana Yoshimoto and "The god of small things" by Arundhati Roy.
I don't watch many mainstream movies except for kid's movies so I never understand pop culture references to anything...
Anyway, I do love anything by Tim Burton and many British, French and Spanish independent, and also gay/lesbian/bi/trans focused movies.
I don't watch TV, because I loathe commercials, but I know most Simpsons episodes by heart. Same goes for Black Books.
My guilty pleasure is watching Desperate Housewives.
And I'm still a huge anime otaku and love Japanese drama, cheese as it is.
pink... sorry, but there is a point where things get too girly. I'm a vegan, so animal-free products are welcome (no woolen items, please!).
Many people consider me radical and extremist- and by certain standards I think I am. I'm politically very far on the left side and active in the anticapitalist and AR movement. I'm not afraid to talk about politics, religion and ethics.
I believe that everybody has a right to speak their mind and act according to their beliefs and convictions. This said, I don't push my views onto anybody and don't mean to insult people in any way.
What I love most is a productive and honest discussion with open-minded people.
cute and kawaii things (as long as they are not pink), gothic and punk style items, knit and crotcheted stuff because I'm so bad at it, vanilla, incense, Mashi Maro, Monokuro Boo, Cinnamoroll, Winnie the Pooh (especially Tigger), thrift stores, rodents, bento accessories and anything cooking related, earrings, tea, herbs and spices, funky overknees, tights and socks!
