My name is Ulla, I am finnish lady. I live with my husband in Helsinki in a row house with rear garden. I have my own "keep busy with"-room. I´m one of the Crafts and Textile teachers in Adult Education Center in City of Helsinki. In summertime, I keep one or two courses in countryside.

I working all the time with colours, dying or mixing printcolours or selecting fabrics. My color is more pure, bright, than dark hues. I like blue, turquoise, purple.

Impressionists and painters like Matisse, Paul Klee, Kandisky, Toulouse Lautrec ....these are my favourites. I´m familiar with the theory of Bauhaus and Itten.

Crafts and Handworks are part of my life, as professional work or just loving hobby.

I like paper crafts, making boxies, recycling cards and books. I also use textiles as my material to dying, sewing, patchworks and quilts. Sometimes, I do personal clothes to wear. Crochet is so relaxing hobbycrafts.

In the summertime I love to read detective stories.

Japanese Hayao Miyazaki movies are great!

Religious, bling-bling, childish but Kawaji is ok.

My works is based more on inspirational ideas than organized planning. I like to invent ideas or stories, to my ATC. Recycling pictures, books, texts, mix media collages are challenging....

Buttons, owls, old vintage-cards, dolls,ribbons, fabric, and cats ( these things just game to me...) Art Nouveau, Japanese prints, hmm.. what else?
