The works of Amy Albarrán are the product of her creative inner child and her love for crafting. She was born and raised in Houston, Texas but now calls Austin, Texas home. She shares her home with her Shih Tzu, Penny Lane and an endless supply of imagination & craft supplies.

Amy was born into a family of artisans and finds joy in sewing, calligraphy, stamping, watercolors and collecting. This designer creates sewn art based on vintage patterns and nostalgic children’s craft books. Her works are created using mostly felt, vintage fabrics and her grandmother’s button collection.

The SewcialButterfly.com blog was created in August 2006 to share her love of all things handmade. Sewcial Butterfly has expanded beyond a hobby blog to include a photostream on Flickr.com/amybecca2 and an online shop at SewcialButterfly.Etsy.com.

I love any kind of music that is NOT labeled "Hardcore _______" LOL I am going through a "30 seconds to Mars" kick right now.

My all time favore movie is "Wizard of Oz" I collect Madame Alexander Wizard of Oz dolls. But I love 80's movies and a few other off the wall movies. I am pretty much open to any movie that will make me laugh, cry, or scream. LOL

I am a total Grey's Anatomy fan. My Dad and I watch Medium, Ghost Whisperer & Numbers.

Pin Cushions, Stuffed animals, felt, and now bracelets. Every project is an adventure and I hope to exploring the many more crafts out there.
