I love (good) travel books, and for the past three or four years I've been binging on books set in India. What an incredible country! Comment: I'm sorry about this & I get that you think it's mean but you sent at least 3 days late and, at that, it was only because I contacted YOU. i'd already left you a profile message and a message on the swap page itself before you replied and I did all this before the deadline to give you a chance to post on time as i know you had a question. You told me it had been posted on the 13th yet the book only arrived on the 22nd. - yes royal mail is bad but not that bad.Second class mail usually takes 2 days, even if it took 3 it means it wasn't posted until the 18th. Can't check the frank as there isn't one on the envelope at all. I get that you work (as do I) and that it can be hard after a full days work but if you sign up to a swap you have to be sure that you can do it and get it out on time. If you can't, please dont sign up for so many swaps or swaps that take a lot of crafting.
Response: I posted it when I said I did and it was received within swap-bot's two week window. I know you contacted me and I replied as soon as I logged into my account, which isn't everyday. I didn't realise that you wanted me to contact you first - I don't normally contact my swapees first when I send my swaps out. Personally 9 days for second class is not unusual in my experience - glad your experiences are better than mine and long may it be so.

I travelled from Birmingham to Wales and back a few years ago, so I've been in some of the places you mentioned and have happy memories of locally made Welsh Cakes etc--and in an even more striking coincidence: you mentioned the Stockhausen Helicopter String Quartet--my brother was there in Birmingham to witness it just as you were writing about it! Response: I thought they were stuck down pretty well but I guess I underestimated the bashing they'd take in the international postal service. I know now to use a dab of glue as well.
